I'm thinking of this in terms of bonsai, you use small pots and the trees become root bound quickly. It is desired in bonsai once the plant is developed in its veggatative state so that it slows down its veg growth and doesnt lose its shape quickly. Given the correct nuets many root bound...
I hope that water is in there because you just watered it and not because you planted it in clay. The tie down looks good, if you want it to fill the top of the container just keep tying down branshes once they start to extend. Sometimes you will need to tie the same branch down in multiple...
You gotta keep the light cycle at 12/12 untill you are done and ready to harvest. You can stop with the covering every night once your natural day light cycle hits 12/12. Here in cali that is going to be some time out and since I didn't want my plant to just vegg untill then you gotta mimic...
This is exactly what I use, I double bag it though just to make sure even less light gets in. Works just fine untill your plant gets too tall for the bag and starts to press some of the buds down. They you have to get crafty and cut a few bag up and tape them together to make a larger bag big...
wow great read and great work by all of you. I got a plant flowering right now and I am going to give this a try. Don't know if I'll go buy a needle to inject it but for sure going to mix some in my water.
better late than never, but like ppl have said you probably will not have enough time to grom some monster plants....but if space is an issue or keeping them undercover is an issue than small is better
I thing you might want to try is super light LST, no major bends to creat new tops....maybe put some small stakes in a circle around the perimiter of the plant and tie string from the stakes to your outer branches to open the plant up a bit. would help with airflow as well as get some more sun...
I did that this grow (LST right when it started to flower) and IMO it was too late in the game. I should have done it way earlier when it was still in vegg mode. It looks like it is causing too many poppcorn buds on the lower parts of the branches. I do have multiple tops now but they do not...
yeah buddy look at how thick those 2 branches got from where you topped it. Bonsaii in this world is a form of LST. If you grow real bonsai you know the difficulty in keeping those roots happy in small pots....a real pain in the ass on hot days. I'm sure when it flowers it is going to look...
IMO I have never found foliar feeding to work that well I tend to get the same results you just got, whether is use nuites or just plain water with a spray bottle
No Shit! I have been trying to figure out what the hell the ants were doing with the aphids on one of my normal plants in my garden....I has hoping they were eating them...FML
