4 tries in one year, what's the problem?

You're getting some great advice on here. Here's what I do, and I have yet to kill a seedling. I prefer rapid rooters or rockwool, but peat plugs have never failed me either. It's all about letting your roots grow first. Your seedlings are getting all the food they can handle from the light at...

Dietary supplement for people. Could it work for my plants?

S'what I thought, too. But I thought if it could work, I'd hate to pass it up. It's not like my plants need it, I was just curious.

Dietary supplement for people. Could it work for my plants?

I found this CalMag with vitamin C supplement, one of those powder in water deals, and I was wondering if it would be safe to use once in a while mixed with the plant's water. Maybe even add it to my supersoil? The ingredients are as follows: the nutritional facts say Vitamin C, Calcium and...

Try fresh trim for bubble hash!

I used about 5oz dry trim, used a paint mixer and I wouldn't recommend either. I only mixed it for about 10 minutes and got a bucket full of chlorophyll. The end result was hash that looked like goose shit. Second time, I used the other 4oz of trim I had left and this time used a wooden stick...

    Northern lights auto

So... I take that back about the Pyramid seeds not working out. The AutoSuperHash I got has plumped right out in the last week. These should be juicy nuggets, I'll let you know how much I yield per plant. I'm allowed up to 11 plants but can barely fit in there myself with the 7 I have (only the...

    Northern lights auto

I've found Pyramid seeds to come out more on the ruderalis side (skimpy shaggy buds) with short plants and little yield. I've grown em in soil and hydro, both with similar outcome. I'd love to hear that yours come out bigger.

APHIDS. What am I in for?

I find hundreds of ladybugs outside and they seem to be more aggressive than the ones you order online. I've found they like to feed on fungus gnat larvae as well.

    My own Supersoil recipe

I let my soil cook in large 6 foot, clear bags I get from the bottle redemption center. They cost 13 cents a piece and they hold up for the task. I poke holes in it with a paper clip for ventilation. I didn't take any pictures because I panicked and tried to remedy the situation. Since, my veg...

Wonder Woman, Am i ready to harvest? (picts)

Another good thing to remember is to protect your trichomes. I see way too many people just mash their magnifying glass right into their buds. Best way to check em is just snip one of the sugar leaves off and use it as a sample. It's actually way easier to focus too. My 30xmagnifying glass works...

Wonder Woman, Am i ready to harvest? (picts)

Wait until the pistils are withered 50% globally, then you can start taking a peak at your trichomes. Don't try looking at them now because you could just end up damaging them if you're too impatient. Not only will you see the hairs turn color, you'll also notice the calyxes swell really fat...

APHIDS. What am I in for?

I actually found another small nest on the same plant today and this time it was in the bud. There were little spots of egg sacks and aphid shits...what a mess. Luckily, today was HARVEST DAY! Before trimming the affected bud, I threw it in the freezer for about 4 hours. It was frozen solid...

    My own Supersoil recipe

Unfortunately, I had a problem with this last batch today. One of my three bags (10 gallons of soil) had white spots of mold or fungus all through it, mostly on the manure and larger pieces of wood. I blame it on the nonstop rain that we've had for the last 4 days and it does appear the bag had...

    My own Supersoil recipe

If you're going to use stump mulch, it's always a good idea to get it from multiple sources. If you can stick your hand right in it and easily break it apart, it has the microbes you're looking for. As for the type of tree, I try to avoid evergreens because of the high acidity. Birch works...

APHIDS. What am I in for?

I checked on them today after the lights came on, I found a few rogue aphids, but t only took me a couple minutes to eradicate them. Anyone who is spending money to kill aphids is wasting their time and cash. I'll check back in a few days to see if any eggs hatch, but I think I did it! So my...
