Micropropagation / tissue culture and organics

I will be a liscensed producer under the new laws. However, I'm trying to maintain the same quality and organic growing methods while supplying a much larger family of users.

I can't vouch for all LP's, but most of the people I've met through this venture over the past few months are not out to sink anyone. Unfortunately, like it often goes, a few people in the old program ruined it for many of us. And I'm pretty confident that it will be hard to prevent people from...

No worries, I amctually glad this is being talked about. I'm with you on your concerns as well. Hopefully, small producers like the ones on this thread will be able to find ways to cater to patients who can't afford the prices being listed by producers. I know that for us, hearing that patients...

Micropropagation / tissue culture and organics

I agree with this. So far from what I can tell, it would not hinder anything and allow me to have more control over the genetics I'm using. Tricky thing to get around in Canada with the new laws. We need to be able to show what the sources are for the plants we grow and they must come from a...

Micropropagation / tissue culture and organics

The space required for the vegetative mothers for cloning is substatially reduced if this technique is used.. by propagating using apical nodal segments or leaf tissue one can uniformely populate an entire room with genetic progenies from wasted parent material such as axillary buds removed...

Micropropagation / tissue culture and organics

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any input on using micropropagation as part of an organic growing practice. I'm substantially expanding the scale of my operation and want to make sure I can continue providing a fully organic product using these techniques. So far, I've had a hard time...

New Canadian producer looking for friends in California

Hi everyone! I'm super happy to be part of this growing community! As people on this forum may know, Canada is undergowing some substantial changes to the medical marijuana regulations. As a grower, I am always looking for the best practices so that I can offer the best possible product to our...

Future LP in Canada wanting to connect with like minded people!

Hi all, I am currently processing my application to become a lisenced producer in Canada and want to touch base with people in the industry. I am coming from an organic farming background and will be applying the same methods for our facility. I believe that a community based approach that...

JOyr1d3, I agree that a high level of transparency is a key factor in establishing trust and dialog with our patients. I would like to see us offering this as some to some scale in our member’s area. I can assure you that based on my experience; the growers who will take the time to...

VIANARCHRIS, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. As I am not new to the idea of this industrie, I've been asking myself the same questions. To be honest, when I was first approached to help set up a different kind of LP I wasnt sure how to approach the topic. My background as a skilled...

I agree! I just hope that HC dosent burden us with too much overhead. The cost of security, etc will quickly add up and affect the bottom line of many LP's. I'm hoping my other experiences in organic farming and greenhouse maintenance will help keep costs down a little.

So far I don't see why this price won't be achieved before long. I think LP's are starting to recognize the realities of this market and will have to start lowering their prices substantially to be competitive.

I've been playing around with a High CDB strain already. One of my patients has said great things about it, so I have high hopes. I'm surprised none of the others have anything like this available yet... Many shy away because of sativa's longer grow times and temperament I guess? I'm not to...
