I'm growing in a 8x8-10x10 area inside a room 13x13 I can only do what I can. Light loss will be kept to a minimal if I can adjust to the footprint of the light.

Any idea when the slate 4 and 5 will be available from hlg?

There are I'm just wondering how they come up with that footprint because I don't have a reflective wall on all sides

Thanks for your help. The board for the 600 is almost twice as long as it is wide, do you know if or how it covers a square area?

Nvm the 600 uses a slate 5 extrusion board. I wonder why the recommend footprint in flower on the square 550 board is 4.5x4.5 or 4x5 and the rectangular 600 boards recommended footprint is 4x4 to 5x5.

Aren't they both the same slate 4 boards just different drivers?

If I buy a new driver that comes in the 600 to replace the driver that comes in the 550, can I still use the same mounting holes?

Do you think that 600 kit will yield more than the 550 being 100 watts or so more?

Yes but hlg doesn't make or stock them as far as I know

Yea maybe for efficiency or life of the boards? I'm wondering why they don't use the 312 pcb instead of the 288 and 304s

The 600 uses different driver with extra 100 watts, if I want to upgrade from the hlg 480h driver to the hlg 600h, will they share same mounting holes?

Do you think theres much of an advantage with 312 pcb over 304 pcb if using 4 quantum boards to make hlg clone?

So that would be 8 pieces of angle aluminum @32" long? 2 pieces for each of the 3 cob rails and 2 for the ends to connect the 3 rails?

Sorry I didn't think before making this thread. I'm going the led route because my 1ks are heating my grow space up too much. So with 9 cobs @ 50 watt each I will be looking at roughly the heat of a 400 watt hid?
