I have never liked using ppm. Ppm meters read E.C. then convert it to ppm. According to what conversion your pen/meter uses will give you a different reading. A reading of 1400ppm is a difference of between 2.0ms and 2.8ms E.C. (ms being milli semens) So unless you know what conversion factor...
