It depends on the purpose I would suppose. If you are able to grow faster, you'll be able to ship it off faster. If you are growing it for your own purposes, then I'd imagine doing it in soil, because, as matt said, it'd taste better.
Wow. I feel like I'm watching the discovery channel lol. Anyways, it seems like a lot of work for an inexperienced individual, but it does look appealing and it does seem to keep costs down.
I'll be looking into this. I think a video tutorial would be best. Any chance of that? :D
I'm assuming that a drip system would be significantly cheaper and more affordable then the sprinkler system correct?
If that is the case, is the significance in the different benefits large? I'm just curious because I plan on starting, and I am on a low budget, and I'd like to get the best...
Just curious, how do you know what stage and cycle the plant is in? Also, how much light is enough light? Does it just need to shine on the plant itself? I'm just worried if I lose power for a couple days, what should I do?
Thanks for the information. I went ahead and printed it out. What should you do after you've finished washing and picking them? Just pack them up and go forward?
That's an impressive set up for only $60.00. What does "activated carbon" do? Is eBay the only place that I can pick it up? Or can I pick it up at a local hardware store like Home Depot?
Hey guys,
I want to start growing myself a good sized portion. I'm considering about a $500.00 budget. Is this good enough for all the equipment + seeds? Should I consider more? How much space do you guys think I'll need?
Good directions. I'm pretty new at this (which is why I'm here). When you germinate the seeds, do you want to place it on a big paper towel? Also when you say 6, do you mean 3 on top, 3 on bottom, with the seeds in the middle?
One hell of a topic bud. I learned a lot, thanks for posting this up. Everything looks rather inexpensive, and that's always a good thing. Good descriptions on how to build it though.
Maybe a video would be cool?
