SF Bay Area growing tips for outdoor.

South Bay here and Blue Dream is a great strain to start with. But watch out, they can grow real big if you give them root room (big pots or in the ground). You may have to tie them down if you're going for a bit of stealth. Good luck :peace:

    another harvest

Good lookin' harvest! Agree with Thc247 above, give that bud some cure time (2 or 4 weeks). Your throat (and head) will thank you :-)

    What'cha Growin this Year?

Way less variety this season. 10 GSC 2 Blue Dream I had issues that caused me to start a bit late, so I bought clones. And I do love me some GSC! And I figured it was too late for seeds by a few weeks anyway. But I sure wanted to plant (actually I want to smoke...lol) some Cherry Pie. Oh...

How long should I veg these strains?

Agree with the previous two posters. Depends on how tall you want to grow and how much you want to yield. Tahoes thrive with stress training, so they're gonna love you :hump: I just grew a small BD this season (8 gallon pot) and it had to be topped and tied, to keep it at 5 feet, or so. They...

    Dried and ready to cure

WTG Hella! Seriously, yielding any smokable grams from your first grow is something to be proud of :hump: And a 1/4lb isn't bad at all, first grow or not. Let us know how it smokes after curing :weed: :peace:

Any Bay Area growers trimming yet

I have 200 grams in jars, so far, so I've been trimming a bit this season. But, got a decent size harvest this year and I haven't even started today's big trim yet o_O and yes, trimming sux already! :hump: But, ya don't want a bunch of kick ass seedless bud with leaves all over them :spew...

Any Bay Area growers trimming yet

Was just talkin' to the wife about that. They look so sad she said :( With no water for 3 days I feel like I am torturing them. Hard to look 'em in the cola...lol :blsmoke: But as you say, that's the reason we give 'em so much love. They give it back in spades :weed:

Any Bay Area growers trimming yet

South Bay here. Lost a few branches to that unexpected rain last week and those buds are finally dried and jarred. I gave my plants their last water on Monday (they're starting to get real stinky :weed: So chop chop tomorrow. I could wait up to another week, but the trichs are pretty much...

    I'll take a FRESH one !

Am I ready for harvest ????

She's (they're) in the window. :weed: Wait a week, or don't. Sounds about where some of mine are at (pretty much all cloudy, with some amber). Gonna chop 'em later this week, soon as the drying cab frees up :eyesmoke: Lookin' good :peace:

my first outdoor grow ready to chop?

Sorry, for the confusion. I meant not harvesting when ready. Or growing for too long. In which case the trichs would all become amber. So the high wold be much more of a sedative (or comatose...lol) high, then a normal 20% amber harvest ...

    It's getting close .......

Been gone for awhile, and they just keep on growin' and growin' :leaf: Lost a few branches due to stupidity (and rain) yesterday. But after tying up some low hangers, they seem to be doing better. Oh yeah and they are getting CLOSE bongsmilie This Blue Dream trim is gonna make some...

    Introducing, Dr. and Mrs. Pepper

All I have to say is........I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, she's a pepper, we're a pepper.......... wouldn't you like to be a pepper too? :eyesmoke: She's lookin' Gooood! :weed: And that late stress may make the buds spacier :blsmoke: Good luck :peace:

A little help 1st time grow outdoor

Not seeing that, in these pics. Maybe a nice close up (in good light) would help. Your thin branches, full of buds, should be weighted down and hanging. I am also not seeing that. So as posted, these look to be at least a couple weeks away from harvest. Unless you have weather or security...

my first outdoor grow ready to chop?

Agree with derr ^^ Let her go as long as you can. If that's 2 days, a week, or even 2 more weeks. Get a scope to check trichs if you're concerned about over-cooking. Good luck the rest of the way :peace:
