I set up my room with the "lung room" as you call it and it seems like that is the only way to go!
Gives you a constant, clean, cold air supply..
Mine is a 4x8 room where you first walk in, with the large ac blowing into it, and an intake box fan (framed into the wall) on a temp controller...
The best way I have found to use a window unit is to give yourself a room in between to keep at a steady temperature, then use and intake fan to pull that cool air into your grow room as you need it.
Obviously this isn't practical for everyone.. But it works well
Probably better off giving them some down time.. I used to use rocks but switched to coco because it is, or can be, much more forgiving.
Took me completely frying a few flowing plants to decide I wanted to switch..
If your ever looking to switch, Coco works awesome
I used 2x4s turned the skinny way to frame 1/4 of my room and then used a tarp as a temp wall
I was limited on space and a tarp is very easy to work with.
I pulled it tight and I'm very happy with the way it worked out
Thanks!!
Total ive got about 5k in the room from start to finish.
I built a false wall to divide the tool room (with entrance doorl) from the grow room. I put my window air conditioner (biggest one lowes sells) to the left of the door.
Then I put a cabinet with doors on the false wall...
Damn this is the first useful post I've ever seen from Buck.. I did not believe they existed.
Someone has run over his dick with a truck since 2015, obviously.
I've used just about every bit of space available to me. There are tables all the way around the room that I flood and drain in. The reservoirs sit underneath..
I work on a 3 week system..
Every 3 weeks you cut down 6 plants,
move 6 from veg to flower,
Move 6 from cups to bags (veg)
Cut...
instead of using nozzles or emitters, I just drilled holes in that pvc. I never had clogs or anything, but I also had a lot more room than you do in rails so I never had to worry about anything clogging the holes
