  • hey so i just saw your post on your homemade led light (sorry for spelling), and i have had this idea for a long time. I built one using black plexi glass for the frame and as you did 3 watt leds, and used meanwell drivers to power them. The only thing is i didnt like the way it looked or performed so i took it apart. Recently i have been using auto cad to design i new light using aluminum channel for the frame. Your idea of using a micro controller is pretty cool, i got an arduino microcontroller to try and learn how to program but found out that its super hard. Any way, whenever you get this message if you wanna hit me up on your current builds if you have any, let me know.
    hello there, nice job.
i know some about electronics, and i was just gonna do the same.
im wondering if you can share project files ? (hex? pcbs?)
    thanks already
    I'm using sealand opto electronics.

I have told them I run a business manufacturing LED panels and they sell me the LEDs at factory price.

I would suggest hopping on their website http://www.ecvv.com/company/sealanddora/index.html an sending them a message. they are in hong kong but reliable and the LEDs are of good quality.

they have about 15 different wavelengths to choose from which should cover most needs except for 730nm far reds. the controllers are a different story. i would suggest shopping around for controllers that can do 700ma constant and take an AC input, not DC, they are alot easier to work with.
alright man im well up 4 makin my own led set up just wonderin were you've been gettin everythin from? ive been lookin online an cant find any 3w leds anywere any pointers man would be much appreciated thanks man :)
