  • I'm not too sure what you mean, I think you are saying you are going to make a pipe with a stem of a large outdoor plant. If thats correct, I have never heard of anyone doing so but it would be pretty sweet and orginal, if you do make one you should post pictures when you are complete.
Personally I think an intake fan supplies enough CO2 for healthy plants. It really just depends on your situation. Personally, if I were to ever run CO2, I'd just buy a system as it's a lot easier and can pump out elevated levels all the time.
The thing with CO2 is that it should only be added when everything else is dialed in. Dry ice and homemade yeast-driven CO2 generators do produce CO2 and on some level of growing, they'll work (small grows), but my complaint about systems like this is that they are a PITA to maintain and the results may or may not justify the effort. Dry ice evaporates in 24 hours so you'd be at the ice cream shop every day getting more. Yeast-driven generators require multiple batches a week to consistently pump out CO2, you're spending a lot of money on sugar. Give the dry ice thing a try for a few grows and see if you see a difference. Personally I don't think it's worth the effort but you'd be the one putting forth the effort so that's your decision. Good luck!
