  • Lol this preocupation with 'mainstream' also confuses and entertains me. A good artist who 'goes mainstream' is still a good artist. If their standards decline, one has to wonder what their value and integrity was worth in the first place. But I understand the face of popular music at the moment is rather disappointing... Alot of music just doesn't seem sincere anymore or there is a lack of involvement from the artists themselves and too much is left to the production department. I guess Lil Wayne doesn't get my hate because his entire existence borders on the satirical XD

    I hate myself for turning on the radio and thinking WTF IS THIS SHIT sometimes. I have to tell myself to not be so judgmental. Hmm, if my cover of Hide and Seek gets released I can have bash material mawahahaha.

    I hear where you're coming from too. I know some kids DO think Lil Wayne and co are literally the be-all and end-all of music 0_o;
    I just hate that it has become popular to hate people for the sake of making oneself appear more refined. I'm a lover of the English language, a writer and musician myself... I'm not saying Lil Wayne should be the poet laureate but he musi is more intellectually stimulating than some of the other crap out there at the moment. I find him amusing and he is almost a parody of the entire world of rap. Taking himself far too seriously and not seriously enough at the same time.I don't own and single one of his albums, nor could I sing all the word to any of his songs, but I give the man some credit. Tupac he isn't, but it's now cool to hate Tuapc, too. I find that HIGHLY amusing lol
