I think you'll need more. I'm doing a 4x4 with 10 3590s in a 3, 4, 3 configuration running off 2 hlg240 1400b meanwells, as shown in one of growmau5's videos. You can also do 12 in 3 strips of 4 but then you need two 240-1050s instead. Using a 4x5 you wouldn't want much less than that. Mine...

I didn't read all 26 pages but what's the solution if you're growing in grodan blocks? I've just staked them to support. If I was in soil I'd just add more but with grodan that's not an option. The plants are otherwise happy and healthy but they stretched bad when they germinated.

I can't see any reason why you wouldn't use the whole 5x5 versus a 5x3 due to odor control. You're still going to be exhausting the same amount of air regardless.
