    Coco Growers Unite!

Salt build up is a concern, so what I do is flush every 3 to 4 weeks w/ Clearex and 1 week before harvest I Clearex and run RO'd water. So far no signs of salt build up being an issue. I tend to feed higher doses of recommened nutes if the plants don't show any signs of stress. If I was to use...

I've done 2 grows this way and setting up my next one the same way, using the ebb & flow set-up. I don't use canna nutes because no one carries it locally here in Hawaii. So I use the Botanicare CNS17 Coco nutes. I want to try Canna nutes, but I'll just wait until a local hydro store carries it...

Concerning Over Watering in Coco: This seems to be an issue at the moment. I'm not a super star grower and only have 3 coco grows under my belt. But this is my experience, my 1st coco grow was watered by hand and it was only 4 plants. For me I thought it took too much time to mix, water &...

    Doktor Doom vs Spider Mites

DD works, but you have to use it before you get to far into flowering. After week one of flowering I wouldn't use anything with pryethium in it. Only use pyrethium products in veg. But it will take more than this one application to rid or control those Spider Mites. So I'd use the fogger and...

Mahalo, Pepper. I'm planning to start doing some outdoor plants and see how well I do. Maybe in time I will be able to switch to outdoors and cut down on da energy usage. Or maybe I will just keep doing both.

Nice, 3' ft tall tunnel. How long is your pvc, 8' ft ? And what diameter 1/2" or 3/4", does it matter ?

Yup, you can reuse your coco. But you have to clean out all of the root mass and matter. I reuse my coco and what I do to reuse is to just pull my root mass out and lightly slap it around so that all of the loose coco falls out. What ever is bound into the roots and doesn't come out by shaking...

Exactly, dry weight is all that matters. It just sounded like it was a lot at first, with my 1kw light. But after I did some simple math and totaled what my estimate is on my harvest and I should have more than 1 gram per watt. I hope......... I guess I will find out soon enough.

Yup. Let us know how the RO helps. I want to use RO, I just haven't gotten around to it and setting one up. I think I will need to move to a new pad before I set one up. Scroggs, you mentioned 1 gram per watt yield is that dry or wet per plant ? Curious because I'll be chopping soon and I will...

I got these clones from a friend who got it from another friend. All I was told is that it's Shiva. So I'm not sure which Shiva it is. But it's good to know that they should be ready within 8 weeks or sooner. The trichs are still clear, so I know they aren't ready. I'm just wondering how much...

Took this a week ago, this is 4 weeks into flower. I not sure what the normal flower time for this strain is (Shiva), I hope it 8 weeks. I like to push, because time is...... It's probably a 10 week strain. That's alright, they'll just get fatter & fatter. If anyone knows what the flower time...
