BIRDS! you need birds, put out feeders and water baths.. they will start to wait for the seed and clean up branches as they wait. That's what I'd do, as well as hand pick. This is what I did for my vegetable plots works very well and quicker than you might think.
I'd start with neem, it's still early .. mix with a few drops of good ol unscented Dr. Bronner's and do the surface of the soil also. Growing peppermint to suck up extra run off will drive mites away... polyculture really helps with all types of bugs. also good ..alyssum calendula nasturtium...
I would nip it; just the very newest leaves on top. You really want lots of branches...it's kind of a waste to go tall first and top them too late; I'd use this time for all the branches to get long. Also get that into a MUCH larger pot.. as above so below best not to let it get too rootbound...
I am in the process of making tincture for rubbing into sore muscles .. i forgot to decarb .. can I heat the alcohol carefully to make it more potent? Do I need to for that application?
