Nice bird! Good luck on getting the bigger turkey. He's gonna be watching his steps for sure now! :bigjoint:
He might. The big ones don't get big being dumb. Turkeys have great eyesight and hearing. If they could smell you, they would be impossible to kill.

The big one is a couple hollers away.

I shot a Jake because I wanted some turkey. The big ones haven't fully started to strut and breed.

A dominant gobbler will set up a strut zone. He will roost, eat, and strut in a pattern. That will be his strut zone.

I will have to sneak in before daylight and not spook him off the roost. That will put me in his zone. I will setup some decoy hens and another dominant gobbler decoy.

I eat everything I kill. I feed myself and my family from wild game and some livestock.

My goal when hunting is a quick humane kill.

would ike to learn more about the fencing thing with outdoor plants please more info
It is called a scrog. Screen of green. It would work outdoors and keep the height down.

You would top it a few times to make multiple tops. You would them out up the screen and start weaving and tucking new growth under the screen.

You could cut lower limbs to out more energy into the tops.

Look up scrog videos on YouTube at different grow stages to get an idea of how to do it.
