Ok, so the reflectors would be better suited if you are in a smaller tent/closet trying to concentrate the light on canopy instead of it being wasted on the walls? (tightening footprint maximizing PPF per sq.ft.)
And lenses would be best used to spread the light if used in a larger area? (maximizing footprint but decreasing PPF per sq. ft.)
Correct?
In my experiences, yes.

Thanks. I have a cob light built but havent applied it to the grow yet so I still have a lot of questions.
I have to grow vicariously through others for the time being haha

Been quite some time since I've updated this! The screen is about as FULL as it can be. It turned out just like I thought it would. The trichs are starting to get heavy and the buds are smelling super sweet! Things are lookin good in here! Although, I can't wait to finish this and move up to the 9 bucket system in the same space. These bitches are HUGE and I'll be flipping much much sooner with the 9. Also the screen will be much lower and things will be a little more uniform. Even though the mutant currant kush and the runt have BOTH well exceeded the screen line! :D

HELLA TOPS.

Time for some lolli popping bro! :bigjoint:

Looking good though, what size tent?
It's been lollipopped already. There are just a few branches I left under the screen I thought might make it up there but didn't. Don't wanna stress them now by chopping em off. So they'll stay there. This is a 4x8 tent that I'm using half of. It's really nice having the extra space.

There's just a ton of foliage above the screen is all. There's not much down there worth anything anyways. I don't see why I'd need to?

Because the plant will waste energy trying to grow stuff under the net that will never be more than larf. So you take it off so the stuff that will count grows better and it also helps with airflow under the canopy. You said it yourself not much worth anything, so take it off. From your pics there's quite a bit underneath that could be trimmed.

Just my $0.02

I could really use some insight as to what's going on here..
By getting rid of the budsitesthat would have amounted to just larf, she can focus more energy towards the meaty mugs that are in the light. All that time you just spent you won't have to spend trimming larf in the end now. And your colas will be more robust! Just wait!!

Heeeelllllll no I dont use tap! EW! Haha.
It's r/o filtered right from the filter got at home. Takes ppms from 165 down to 13. Also, my pH is almost ALWAYS 5.8-6.2 it just stabilizes there with everything added and I never have to use pH up OR down. Ever. I've never seen it go anywhere higher or lower. This is why I'm so confused. It didn't happen last run with the same strains. These are cuts from them. The ONLY thing I've changed is adding calmag very very first when mixing up new water, before anything else, per GH instructions. I used to add micro, mix and dissolve well, then gro, mix, then bloom, mix, THEN calMag.
