First attempt at a manifold...

Picture in my nursery of 3 Greenhouse Lemon Skunk plants undergoing LST for my first attempt at a manifold.

Don't ask me how I've ended up with one having 6!

These will be going in a 60x60cm 400w grow. So 2 with 8, one mutant (see below) and... Do you think I'm best leaving the 6'er as 6 or going to 12?

These are destined to go into tent in about 3 weeks. Just switched to feeding Canna Coco Grow Guide veg nutrients - been on CannaStart since start...

4 plant on left was a mutant - grew "nasty" so I'm just pining that to create a nice bush.

Yellowing "tiny" plant is a top I'm trying to root, ready for a single bush grow after these manifolded plants are done.

Looking nice. I love the outcome of manifolding but for some reason it slows growth down a bit too much for me so I only manifold when I have extra plants and need to let them stay small until it's their turn to flower. I will also chop plants down a few nodes to get a semi manifold just starting up a bit higher. All depends on when I'll need what.

looks great but may end up getting too big for a 60cm by 60cm grow space. 100 watts per sq ft of lighting sound pretty intense.you don't have a problem with photo inhibition at that level?

Hmm - I think the "6 to 12" will be come a "4 to 8" - I'l remove the weakest 3rd. That will give me 24 colas to work with across 3 plants and the mutant bush -I'm just LST training that to fill the pot and I'll let it go it's own merry way when it hits the tent...

I've had two successful grows with the 400w at about 12" above plant tops. Running in a cool tube so I get less radiant heat.

Been reading up on photo inhibition and found this chart on another forum. According to that thread I'm actually sitting at an optimum distance.



Getting the thread back on track...

These manifolds will pot on into the grow room in 18 days. They will go into square pots with probably twice the surface area.

Should I leave my current 8 "manifolds" to just grow out whilst in the nursery and only LST them into shape when I do the final repot to the grow room and large square pots?. I assume that would give me the strongest starting point. TBH I've not got much more horizontal space in my nursery, but I've got height.

I will then leave the 24 manifolds heads to grow to half of final target height before I flip...

Nice dude! I love manifolding.... it's what I use for outdoor! Really love the yields that this method pulls off!

12 days later and manifolds are growing strong in my nursery...

Waiting on a previous grow to finish and dry (about 10 days) before I can move these into my tent (back right is the mutant).

Ready for grow tent...

Just done a major LST session so each cola is spread out... I can then start to work with height issues.

Grow will veg for 3 weeks so I've got plenty of training time...

3 days later - each plant trained round a support hoop. Last plant was just strapped down to see what comes of her after a 3 week veg...

Timed to finish around Early December, so I'll have a present for myself!

Doing really well - just coming into 5th week of flower - pushing the sides of my tent out - first 4 weeks of flowering,..

Have to agree it slows them down considerably ,I used to chat with Nug Buckets all the time about this.Like you said if you have the space to run a long veg it makes for some purdy plants.
