My third grow: Kropking Bubba Kush,400w HPS Enclosed and GH Water Farm

Today's update Bubba Kush looks too healthy. Obviously I am not in charge.

Did a water change today. looks like she drank 100ppm.
new nut. mix @430ppm
She is really growing big fast. Super healthy too.

Had to get a pic this morning. What a monster.

I'm such an idiot. the seeds are from Crop king seeds not kropking seeds LOL

Made some changes to My grow room as it's going to get colder this week. I just don't want to pay for heating a large area.
What I did was partition off the room with a tarp and I'm just heating the area outside My grow room and not the whole room.
This morning I saw...
Look at the size of the leafs compared to the little sativa sugars also you can see my digital thermometer and water bottles in behind.

Well did a little chainsawing today lots of fun cutting down my hard work.
the Bubba Kush is still doing the same thing getting bigger and pushing out new growth. I had My brother in law over and he didn't think it was weed but, I assured him this will get us wasted when it's done.anyways on to the picture show...

Harvested 1: Train Wreck Auto from cropkingseeds.
She has a nice light pine and diesel smell like sweet crude, super oily and sticky really solid buds right to the bottom nice weight.
This plant suffered in early flower but, has pulled through with a nice finish.

Topped today. Kind of sucked to do but, nature can be tough. Best she learns how to grow every which way now!
I will be leaving her for a week in the mercy of My friend. Maybe best if she learns whatever that lesson might be too.
She looks like there is nothing going to stop her. I'm thinking about getting a hole punch and running it through the leafs to let light down to the new tops. LOL No but, seriously I'm now using her leaf shadow for the room thermometer.

It's that bucket thing My Bubba Kush is in (DWC). It has a tube that goes into the lower bucket and air pushes water nuts. up the tube into the ring around the plant and the liquid goes through the rocks and roots, back to into the lower bucket. Seems to work real nice.
They cost about 80-90 bucks.
I will try to get at least 12-14 oz with this one plant.
The original grow I am following only veg'ed for 28 days and got 10oz
I will go to 38 ish. so 10 extra days veg
I would be disappointed if I only get 10 oz

If you grow in small spaces this is the best. All self contained except for the air pump and air line.

Did you LST the Trainwrecks? Interesting that you got all similar sized colas. Really nice..

Also, could this Bubba Kush actually be a lettuce?

Looks like the Floranova plan is going well... What PPM did you start with? I'm going to just use Floranova bloom on my current grow. It's called The Lucas Formula if you haven't seen it elsewhere.

Are you using calmag?

Is that a 600w HPS you have?

I'm on page 16 of Scotty's journal of Pineapple Express.. I read every word. Very impressive. Very simple. Very cool.. Now I want to smash my SOG and get a Watergarden from Amazon Prime

A few thoughts..
I see he doesn't mess with PH up and Down. Is that how you see it? I have Floranova and RO water. I wonder if I added 800 ppm to it what the PH would be. I'll dig out my meters and give it a try.... Do you think he adds the nutes then lets it sit for a few hours before adding to Resevoir? Time for the PH to stabilize?

I think sprouting the seed in 2 incha Rockwool cube would be good practice. Do you? This gives it stability and keeps it moist during initial stages... Although it could also rot the stem if it's constantly wet.

I like the idea of , when scrogging, chop at 4th node and let the shoots from 3rd node also grow up so now you have a nice 4 way plant that stretches in each direction under the screen. Like a mainline with just 4 lines.. What do you say?

This was a mainline that I did. Creates a beautiful manifold. Give me your thoughts

First the Train Wreck,
Started Sep.1
Started with tap water in glass 16 ish hours. about 20 hours on the stereo with damp paper towel, then into 3 gallon pots, Pro mix herb & tomato mix. Light, 400w HPS 24/7
I just pull the top over after about 2-3 weeks and watch the side shoots catch up. This was My second grow with these Train Wreck and it worked perfect then too. They have skinny leafs and can grow right next to the other cola's without blocking light. I think I could plant 4 under this light and get a really big haul.

I did a lot of research on PH in the last while. I feel like I have graduated first semester PH101.
From what I understand I am choosing to lowering the PH of my water to 7 letting it sit for about an hour. Then adding the floranova bloom with no further adjustments as the buffers take it right down. I'm just giving it a quick stir and adding it to the Water farm. Super simple!
that being said My last clean out was in the 6.3 range. so I don't think that I am really making a difference. This Water farm is all new to me.
For this grow I started the seed the same way as always. and planted directly into the farm. From what I can see this produces a plant of superior quality to anything I have ever grown. This plant is solid into the farm. I think you would get the same growth with any type of seedling in this thing!!!
This will be My first scrog so it will be fun to go through the process. I am a little concerned about the leafs covering the new shoots. They are just running into the bottom of the leafs. Like shooting up under an umbrella.



Yes there are tops under there. Hole punch?
The last Train Wreck Auto is looking very crystal heaven to Me.

Just a side note on the Train Wreck. although this is My second grow with this variety I'm not really happy with the buzz even though I got the triks perfect it has a speedy skitchyness to it. They have a very low CBD content. Some people like it. I don't and since I started these before I finished curing I can't kill them. I will just have to wait for the Bubba to finish. Feb. can't come fast enough.

I did some testing with Floranova bloom to check out the PH Buffering. Here are the results. It looks pretty solid..

MY RO water from my tank: 75 PPM 6.5 PH

+ 330 ppm Floranova = 6.0 ph... 15 minutes later 5.7 ph
+ 800 ppm = 5.6 ph 30 minutes later 5.5 ph

Ya it's right there. Really leaves nothing to do but watch the show .

just changed res. plant drank 200ppm
new @ 560ppm

Not great but not the end. They are on life support now. Had to waste another great plant. Second Train Wreck harvested because, dead. seriously not watered for 9 days I'm so pissed.
Lesson learned: Never leave your plants with anyone that is so stupid they can't pick up a bottle of water and pour it into a container......fuuuuuuuuuuuuuccc......k...................

There is good news though... check for My next update later.

Had a major malfunction with the Water Farm the ring line separated and that is why the water was gone when I got home so not any ones fault. The funny thing is I only noticed it because I looked at it just now and 1//2 of my water was on the floor in my grow room. The giant leaves hid the separation LOL
I will have to refill the res. with new solution @ 650 ppm tomorrow.
