Thank you. I can't wait for the second run. I've been playing catch up this whole time and still am.

I never thought I would do this again but a very frosty bag (not mine) crossed my path and there were 5 seeds in the bottom of it, so about 5 months ago I said why the hell not and 4 came up.

$2000 later and here I am with a ton of work yet to do to get this going well.

Looking at the pictures you provided of this grow there are numerous issues. Not sure if the others posting compliments are just being polite or don't know any better, but your grow is very terrible. If there was a peta equivalent for plants, they would be round the clock protesting outside your home.

Tip burn, droopy leaves, what looks to possibly be vermin eggs, unkept grow area, etc, you seem to have every problem going.

How would it be trolling? He posted pictures of his grow and asked for opinions.

I gave it to him straight. It is a terrible grow.

He even knows that. His attempt at solving the problems has been like most new growers, throw more at the plants. More light, more over watering, more over feeding and butchering the poor things.

Ok I will provide you with something constructive. Not sure if there is much you can do with this batch so it would be best for you to properly plan your next run.

First off, prep your grow area properly. Clean it getting every speck of dirt out of there and bleach the thing down. Then get some tarps to cover up the floors and something to go on those walls. You have a prime breeding climate for mold so you need to prevent that. Get proper airflow. Even moving lots of air above the lights will result in a huge improvement.

Second, plan out your space allocating enough area for each plant. You will need to balance it out between the number of plants, the method of grow (eg. sXog) and your space, but most importantly what you feel comfortable with. Draw up a map and use post-it notes if visualization helps you figure it out. Factor in access that you will need to get to the plants. Then stick to the map keeping the plants within the allocation space using training and pruning.

Third, get your growing containers and medium right. You probably have drainage issues if the buckets are sitting on the floor. There are many ways you can do this, find one that works for you and stop overwatering.

Fourth, set up a schedule for feeding and watering. Ban yourself from entering the room outside of those scheduled visits. Until you learn to listen to your plants anything you do will harm them and the temptation is too much when you are in the room. So stay out. Get something else to keep you busy, another hobby such as pointing out stupid stuff from people on internet forums for example.

and always, read up and learn new things like how to set up your lights properly, (or this nasty called for jab) understand the light spectrums.

Constructive criticism is what this site seriously needs!

Most of above is correct however I would disagree on the growing containers though I personally think he should use rubbish bins instead of buckets (like urban remo) but OP should definitely invest in some sort of floor insulation / put something under the buckets :)

Anyways I have seen a crazy amount of people fuck up the basics and not even have the bushes like you have there :D

Totally agree. As he is starting out, it is best to work what is most comfortable and it better to let him figure it out on his own.

Personally I like using tough boxes and fabric pots. Tough boxes are good for heavy weight and pretty durable. Cheap too.

Garbage cans work well too. They make for very good compact grow boxes.

Sorry man, I couldn't take you serious if your life depended on it, but you can see how wrong you are in this post.

The plants DID need more light, that is so fucking obvious I believe that you are trying to give me bad info on purpose. if I watered any less frequently they would droop and I have been very conservative with any feeding, the average ppm of all the water going in has been 225ppm.

Still more rubbish. The only thing you got right that I have a dirty floor and I'm not sweeping it up now and throwing dust all over very sticky plants. Mold will not be something I have to worry about until the summer unless I took your idiotic advice and start throwing up tarps to trap moisture. There is no standing water because I sloped the concrete floor to drain to a floor drain. 4 hour after watering the floor is completely dry. The floor still needs some concrete by the door for slope, then it needs to be skimmed and painted white.

Next, I have good air flow, just because you have seen the wall mounted oscillating fan doesn't mean that it's not there, it also has all the air exchanged every 3 minutes.

As to your second point this is stuff that still needs to be worked out for the space, I didn't expect all four seeds to be female so I ran out of space way faster than expected. It would have been a waste just chopping some down for the fuck of it so I worked with what I had.

Third, the buckets are what I had on hand, like I said I hadn't planned on doing this and I've already spent $2000 building this room something has to give, buckets will work fine for now but I can guarantee that they are not having drainage issues or being over watered. I don't even think that they could be over watered at this point, I'd probably have to water ever single day to do that.

Your fourth point, I have enough shit going on in my life that I don't need to troll forums to amuse myself.

you wont find many perfect grows around here or any weed sites.just do the best you can and try to keep learning from each grow and they will get better each run.great use of the conduit man.peace

You aren't willing to sweep up for fear of getting dust into your plants. Hate to break it to you, but if you are concerned about that and have any decent circulation then it is happening already. Generally speaking if you aren't willing to basic clean up then you are too lazy to grow any plant. Go join Yoda in his pursuit of trying to grow tinae pedis.

I was going to respond to the rest of the non-sense but there isn't a point. You aren't going to learn and are more concerned with getting likes from those who think larf barely good enough to be feed for animals is grade A stuff.

But it is your grow and your money so do what you want as it is only you affected. The rest of us get to watch, and for those with knowledge, entertained.

The 4 big plants got 600ppm of ferts and ph tonight. Ph in was 7.3 and runoff was a cool 6.5 on the yellowing plant. I think it's safe to say that they are running low on nitrogen.

I'm looking forward to assembling the new lights tomorrow. Almost doubling the wattage and being able to spread the girls out is gonna be nice.

The biggest issue I see is a lack of support for the plants. How the heck do you have so many negative things to say, most of them completely irrelevant, but never pointed out the fact they appear to be falling over.

That's really the only issue I see that's a big deal.

OP, good work. It's a good run so far but you should be planning how to support the branches early on in the next grow, before it's needed. Plant stakes are pretty cheap, or you could build individual plant Scrogs, whole room Scrogs, or tomato cages. Whole room Scrogs are very hard to manage in my experience, tomato cages work well for some plants, and 3x3 scrogs over each plant held up by 4 bamboo stakes in each plant work great. 3sq in grid made of bamboo and zipties.
