Love those guys at @Northerngrowlights @robincnn @Stephenj37826 - for the DIY builders .... For my submission to this thread : Mars Hydro Quantum Board Conversion.

304 samsung 561c Top Bin Diodes 3000k( *3500k Equiv. Cree )

Gutted Mars Panel ... Took original LED panel out and stomped it with cleats.
Repainted case with Hammered Finish .... Reused Dual Fans and 12V driver.

Bright light - very cool running

NOTE :
My build runs scary cool ( constant 68° on 18/6 ) cycle . Red Stems are from cool temps during month at night and overall tent temp with panel going. P / Nitro Uptake is affected and i have added a small heater to room to elevate ambient temperatures ..... Plus put her on a 50/50 veg - bloom feed to balance her out. She is Day 27 of flower under this light. Your mileage may vary ....

I did something similar a couple years back using 4 each @ 22w 5000/3000k t8 led tubes to cover 2 x 4. It worked pretty well

I would tighten them up (closer together by at least half)
After measuring the par on these I think I'll reduce it to two strips and lower them to 18inches.

What kind of monos?
i dont remember the name. they were out of china. They advertised having a great thermal transfer, large copper pad, etc. So i picked various red spectrum and various blue spectrum. I later over powered the blue string @ 3.4a since the heatsinks arent very large. I currently am only running them at 2a there abouts and the heatsinks are great up through 2.5a but i get worried anything past that. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaanywho, im upgrading with 4x clu058-1818s pushing 3.5A each. (thanks cobkits.com for the dice and sinks)

Just finished mine last night... Got 8 Cree CXB 3590s @ 3500k on an hlg-185h-c700... So I'm running them pretty cool for now. May upgrade to two 1400ma drivers if I need to later on. Mounted on 4 of the 4.9" profile heatsinks from HUSA at 20" long each... And some aluminum L frames from home depot. Overall cost was just under $500 with all materials. Just clean up my wiring a little...
