A crackdown on recreational cannabis is coming

Oh wow, trump lied.

How on earth did you miss the facts that (1) he is a pathological liar, (b) he appointed an unrepentant MJ hater to head DoJ, and (lastly) he doesn't really give a crap about policy of any kind as long as it doesn't impact his businesses.

No real surprises here. None.

There has to be a reason for the reversal. Probably received a significant donation from the adult beverage industry.
Assuming that this is real, yes. Trump must have received 'something' to inspire such a sudden turn around in policy. I'm still not buying this until I actually see a crackdown. This is the age of fake news where you need to doubt everything until you actually see it.

Seems like legalization is everything Trump SHOULD be about. It greats jobs, businesses, takes money away from the cartels and mexico, brings in tax revenue for schools and roads, etc. Restarting an asinine Nixonian drug war against a plant which is less harmful than alcohol is the polar opposite of MAGA!

I watched Spicer say it on TV. Pretty sure it's not fake news...

Trump is really into loyalty -- and revenge. I live in Washington state, so I'm sure we are in his crosshairs, given the immigrant debacle.
Gotta admit, cracking down on recreational cannabis will definitely cause pain and suffering here in the evergreen state. For one thing, medical and recreational have been combined, so you can't really mess with one without messing with the other.
Not cool.

The way I understand it...Spicers is against rec but not medical. He thinks ganja is like opioids . I heard him say this. He believes ganja has negative addictive qualities and will have devestating outcomes and wants to protect the people.
We will see how whipped Trump is by spicer with all this. If Trump is such a great businessman how can he deny the multi million dollar business, all the jobs . Jobs jobs!!!

I was saying the same thing earlier this morning,, about the northwest,, I am in Oregon, and the OLCC is quickly combining the 2 rec and med sides,, its about halfway there already,, did spicer say he was only for Medical for "Terminal" patients,, if so, that would also severaly change medical states also

I'm afraid that after he wipes out recreational cannabis, Sessions will tighten the rules for "qualifying condition" to the point that you've got to be suffering from a terminal illness to get medical cannabis.
Growing your own will be out of the question because they don't make money on that. They'll claim it's for safety & quality, which is bullshit.

I hear ya.
Who knows what the DEA will do. I guess they can do whatever they want and then let the courts sort it out. Asset forfeiture is scary shit. Based on what happened in Port Huron Michigan, whether you are legal or not is a black and white deal.
So let's say you have a medical permit to grow 15 plants, but you didn't know there was an unexpected seedling growing in your recycled dirt pile. Bummer for you. Now ALL of your assets are subject to forfeiture because you are illegally manufacturing a schedule 1 controlled substance.
Oops

I Fucking knew it. Safe to say that the law that is supposed to be reinstated for med/rec states won't be renewed. Dissappointed.

trump lied and played the field like most presidents, for the purpose of votes. every time i hear change or make america great again or any of that bullshit, i know the candidate is lying. the same cycle of change happens every 4-8 years.
