Things I've learned

Lol so I wanted to start a journal type thing but not really of my grow but random newb mistakes I've made write them down and write how I fixed it so I remember next time, maybe other people will find this helpful, and get some advice from my fellow rollitupers.

All I got right meow bc Im f*ckn seeek AZ sheeeeet and can't think hetroly is cam buckles... I think they are called cam buckles... little clips that are decent for a make shift light hanging "rope ratchet" bc tieing knot gets old real quick... online a 1$ at the hardware store like 2$

Do not love your plants to death. Many problems can be avoided by simply leaving them alone. Overwatering and overfeeding are the biggest mistakes new growers make.

Over feeding is a mistake I often do bc I forget how many scoops I put in so I started going micro dose... so of it forget to put it in oh well or if I double up oh well

I'd rather see a slight def then nute burn

Heres a helpfull tip i learned for getting rid of White powdery mildew: Hydrogen peroxide kills and prevents white powdery mildew I've been treating a plant with white powdery mildew on it with 2 and a hald table spoons of hydrogen peroxide mixed in 20 oz of water and mist the infected area and all the plant lightly (the plant is 3 -4 weeks in bud)

I haven't tried this but websites that have any antfarms sometimes have lady bug and preyingmantis kits lol decent predatory bugs that'll eat Flys and and mites could be good for a grow tent or to infest your outdoor area... like I said I haven't tried it.

One thing I have tried is filling my tent with co2 to get rid of Flys... and I mean I fill the tent like a balloon lol with a big ace co2 tank 2 days in a row...seems to work .

Seal up the tent as best i can ...I keep the inside fans going to keep air circulation.. make a hole big enough for my arm and I turn the co2 tank on so I hear I slight hiss...I don't go full blast bc that shit is ice cold....let that hiss for like 5 min then shut it off and close the tent...

I'm running leds so less heat to worry about than hid

Don't tend your garden stoned ....even the most advanced gardeners come up with awesome ideas while high ....that seem way less awesome the next day ......enjoy the jungle while high

But don't do any serious work while super stoned .....GL

Definitely!
To recover from a deficiency, just add more nutes and wait a couple of days.
Recovering from nute burn takes much longer, depending on how bad it is. Might need to flush or repot...

Anything with a high ph will also kill PM. Potassium bicarb is old school & works great. You can also use protekt silica as a foliar.

dont chop early or fast dry !

Both seem like great ideas and both turn into instant regret lol

I tried regular water with ph up to increase the ph but that burned the plant and like ate off some trichomes (ph was at about 9.5)
Iv been hearing good things about protekt sillica i just havent bought it yet, the hydrogen peroxide mixed in to water works with out hurting the plants

What strength h2o2??

I use a 30 oz pray bottle and fill it up to 20 oz of water and 2 and a half table spoons of hydrogen peroxide per 20 oz of water

Hydrogen peroxide 3%

So when you order a carbon filter and get that sock for it I noticed that alot of people don't use it but I was watching theh growtubers roundtable on youtube... hosted by crazy dago every Friday ... and they said the sock, or cotton condom as I call it, is your filters first line of defense and the cotton condom sock helps extend the life of your filter. Even more so when you replace the 20$ cotton condom instead of replacing the 100$ filter ( idr how much it really cost)

Yep, that's called a pre-filter and it catches particles that would eventually clog pores in the activated charcoal. (Charcoal is the part that kills smell.) You should definitely use the pre-filter.
I've even got a febreze HEPA filter running in my tent. Everything sticks to sticky buds, so I figure the more stuff I can pull out of the air, the better.

Well I have a good one. Ya know how sometimes we have to tie are plants up to keep them from falling over if they are young and stretch, well never tie your string to your light, I made that mistake once, needless to say I will never make it again. I raised my light after forgetting it was attached to my light and it pulled the plant up out of the net pot ripped the roots off so I just trashed it.

Wow thread is loaded with good advice. My suggestion: tell no one about your cabbage patch.

Some keys to success from my experience, which is not much.. would be properly plan out your grow and get the environment under control before it's an issue.

Omg yes lol I told no one but my old man who had no interest and kinda shits on me and my plants but yet anytime he pops by with a friend he just has to show them off. shit drives me nuts. Like go make your house hotbox and stop blowing up my spot.
