it aint a whole lot, but it sure beats a kick square in the nads. cheers 6string

@Closet-Gardenholic great job with the build brother!
Every little bit counts. I ordered the COBs through digikey because Mike has the 3500k 80cri, and they weren't in yet when I started ordering. These are probably just as good, but I wanted to try to 90.

It's awesome that all of these companies are willing to cut us a break! They should be seeing a pretty good increase in business too

Hey Closet,
Nice build! I'm also building a light myself with the same Vero 29 SE's. Just was wondering if your planning on installing reflectors? I'm having a hard time finding ones for the SE's, plenty for the regular 29's, but no luck for the SE's other then a few lenses from Ledil.

I was planning on maybe adding them in the future. There's not much in stock right now. The light seems to be pretty even across the canopy without them, but they will be easy to add with the mounting holes on he COB

IMG_2316.JPG I did what I could with the wiring. In hind sight I should have measured each length of wire instead of just cutting a random piece. It's only aesthetic, but it bugs me. Plants are loving it.

These 3000k 90CRI are not overwhelmingly bright, but the color of the light is beautiful. Very warm and similar to natural sunlight

Good to know about the even light spread across the canopy. Thanks for the info and best of luck.
lol I know it's the dumbest way to check, but with the Mars Hydro, I could easily tell where the PPF diminished by using the back of my hand under the light.

Same thing with this COB fixture. Very slightly less intense in between the COBs but I don't think it will make a difference with overall growth. We'll start flowering by Valentine's Day

Just so anyone considering following this build knows, you can swap out the D version veros for the B versions and use the 1050ma version of the same driver.

Same cost, more efficient light and you can power it a little more to boot.

No reason not to do this imo unless you have sourcing issues.

What about running the 72 V Cs @ 700? Is this an option as well? Could this be done with one driver?

would you mind providing some more information on the poke-in
connectors? what's the manufacturer's part #?

Part number depends on CCT and CRI

Haha I was just worried I'd get something caught on them and yank a wire, which would really piss me off. I hate when accidents happen, and *normally* when something gets fucked up, it's preventable lol

My whole build will be about 1100-1150usd, i live in canada so shipping chewed up some of that unfortunately.. If u live in the states it will be cheaper.

1000w=2 panels
500w=1 panel

37ish volts x 1.75amps= 64-65w each.. Ill try to get some accurate numbers once there up and i buy a watt metre.. But with the dimming capabilities, in theory, i should be able to adjust from 100-1000w..
Cheers
