I got a arctica 1/4 hp chiller with a titanium heat exchanger. I want to run my nutrient straight thru the chiller since the only reason i got it is for my res. Is that safe to do? Next question, its rated like 490-1920 gph. For cooling res only shall i go with a lower gph pump or higher gph. What is going to be more efficient? Im running aeroflo 36 in a closet sealed, the best i can, portable ac 8000btu 1000watt hps. Just looking for opinions on this from people who have exp using chillers. Thx in advance guys.

Yeah thats safe to do im running mine through the rez as we speak. I have the aeroflo 60 and do the same thing running 490 gph on a 1/4 hp chiller got about 25 gal in res at all time and keeps it right where i set it at 66 F. Im guessing either in between or on the low side for a pump. if it flows to fast it wont cool the water properly and wont be as efficient. Do you have the big res or the smaller one? the big one is around 40 gal.
