Hey @nevergoodenuf

i like at that spectrometer:

it comes with a calibration certificat, which is very important for a good spectrometer i did read.
It is possible for money to recalibrate it, they(gigahertz) told to do it once a year to have best possible accurate.
I think this is very important feature, beacuse i paid a lot for the spectrometer so i wanne use it long time, so i will let it recalibrate it every 1,5 years.

It has 3 different measurement modes.
Mode1: Just one simple measurement, press the button and the device will make one measurement.
Mode2: Press the button and the device will make continous readings as long your press again the button
Mode3: Press the button and the device start to make 10 readings and will show on the display the average #

The device has a software for the computer, so you could save your datas on the computer for many different reasons. The device itself is not able save something
On the computer you can see more details on the graphs

I like that he can make the spectrum graphs from 360nm to 830nm

I think the device is pretty accurat at the measurement which it can do. This is just a feeling from me, i cant proof it or evevn compare it with something other

i dont like at that spectometer:

if you wanne do readings without a computer just with the device itself, it sucks a bit. Because it is not possible to read the display if you hold the device under the light, the display reflect the light....
But for this case you could you the 1st measurement mode. Then its no problem
Or you just work with a computer/laptop then it is even better. The device works best in combination with a computer/laptop

The price is very high

The device has in germany only 1 year warranty, because they sell only from business to business. Only privat person have 2 year warranty in germany.
How long the warranty is outside germany / europa i dont know

Which i really hate about the device is, that you only can read PPFD from 400nm to 700nm.... I would like if, i could choose between 2 mode like: 400nm-700nm and 380nm-780nm
I think that is just the biggest disadvantage of the device.

it would be cool if i could install the software on a tablet or smartphone....

Would i buy it again?

If i had again some money left and i would need again such a device for differnet reasons. Then YES i would buy it again.
If you guys have some question, i try to answer them as good as possible.

Thanks @Hybridway . Think I picked the right name? I just can't leave things along.:wall:
For sure! Upgrading & perfecting every time I check in. Gets expensive, I'm sure.
I noticed you're trying out Coco-Loco. I to use it 50/50 w/ my Biotanicare Aeration. Great stuff. I did a side by side w/ the 50/50 mix I make against the straight coco & it kept my leaves green right up to the end of flower. The Plants love it. Lots of good poo in it.
Looking good! Keep it up n you'll have people asking you to build them lights for sale if you don't already. High Powered Perfection!

Every thing is looking good. Thing have already fill back in nicely and only a bit of Mag def, so I will foliar feed today. No burns and so far the House & Garden Coco A/B is working great. My PPMs stay between 700-1400. The big swings are from the dehumidifier draining into the res. I only have one tray that is hand watered now, and that is the organic Mission ferts in 420 soil and 3g bags. These are 4 Sherbert.
The coco side is all Cherry Pies (16). The runts were put in 2g pot and I crammed 10 in a 2'x4' tray. These are no longer the runts and seem to be over taking the, once larger 6 in 3g pots. The coco side is have less trouble with Mag def. but still there. The 2'x4' tray was growing with a bit of a slope going up to the wall, so I moved the light away from the wall and angled it back to the wall. That canopy is about 3+'x5' now. Total wattage in light this run 1460 watts over about 51 square feet for an average of 28 watts per square foot.IMG_20170330_210048628_HDR.jpg IMG_20170330_210114551_HDR.jpg IMG_20170330_210137462_HDR.jpg IMG_20170330_210146916_HDR.jpg IMG_20170330_210238630_HDR.jpg IMG_20170330_210324665.jpg

I am very happy with the Coco side. I am having great results with the house and garden. The mission ferts and soil is not taking up nutrients fast enough. I am going to up my food and see if that helps.

Looking good!
The Coco-Loco by itself is to strong hu? To much soil n poo in it to use alone in flower. Did you find the same thing to be true? Are you comparing coco to coco-loco or something else?
