Do i have RARE genetics from Afghanistan (mazar sharif area)

So I was recently received about 200 seeds that are straight from Afghanistan. I am almost positive they are from the Mazar Sharif area.

I have popped a few seeds of my own in the past, but since I live in colorado I have access to some pretty good genetics from friends. Been growing for 4 years now. My question was what I should expect from these seeds. Do I have some good rare genetics since they are from somewhere no one really has access to?

Anyone with experience in regards to genetics or seeds your feedback would be appreciated.

It's not rare first of all second it is dirt weed that 90% of which is used to make low THC hash in afghan. It is a hardy strain that is made for outdoor growing however, people outside Afgan do not bother with it due to the lower THC. When I was stationed in Afgan I saw fields of the stuff. It was nothing special

My grandson was over there and he said some of it got huge, sent a photo of a soldier standing next to some and they were easy 12 footers.

Yeah I wasn't saying they were going to be best seeds ever. I'm not even sure what strain they are. Just know what part of the country they came from . I understand no one smokes the herb there because it's all made into hash, but I wasn't sure if there was a chance of coming across a nice seed that could turn into somethinh. Didn't some of the nice Afghani strains originally come from there ?

Plus I didn't wanna compare it to what they do there because people can't grow indoors there so no way of really knowing what it can do indoors until you pop them and hopefully get some females .

Id pop them and see what ya got, if there are some potent frosty hashplant in there make some seed and spread the love:peace:

Didn't Alien Tech come from a soldier who brought seeds back and he found the Alien?(then hoarded the cut, then lost it? Lol) Now its used in MANY crosses, so with 200 beans and a decent germ % you should find a gem or two. Good luck brotha

I don't know about 'dirt weed' but I do see what he's saying. You could go though a decent number of not up to par plants, but I believe the reward would be worth it. Plus the fun of really diving into a strain lol with that many seeds

Yeah I feel you. That's very true . Just going to have to pop them and see what they turn out like. Hoping for the best

i've taken a seed that was from meh weed and grown a pretty damn good plant out of it. if the genetics are there you can bring them out with proper care, but if they aren't you're fucked no matter what you do. only way to find out is pop a couple and love em, see if they love ya back

Some of my Dankest plants have been unknown random "Bagseeds" if u will...
I don't think u have the Holy Grail of Afghan Kush or anything...Or who knows, maybe u do..."rare" and "exotic" strains seem to be pretty common now days...
In my opinion and Experience never judge a seed by it's shell...U Never really know what kinda specialness It may grow to b...

I've read that the natural landraces have high variation in potency. You may get lucky and find a good one but there will probably be a lot of throwaways. Once I got some Lebanese seeds from a Lebanese guy and although it was very resinous and stinky, and had huge Indica leaves, it was very weak in potency, felt virtually nothing, like hemp or something.
