Oh man, first let me show you guys what I woke up to. This whole watering learning curve is harder than I thought it would be. For some reason, I let it go 5 days without watering. Bad idea.IMG_2331.JPG

I top dressed her with the dry nutes from my master's pack fed her a gallon of water and a liter of mild nutrient solution this morning.

Awesome. Keep up the good work. Nothing like a good plan well executed :weed:
The more I read Cervantes and his advice to wait 60 days, the more I want want to give it two additional weeks. I just don't know if I have the space.
Have you decided what will you do? To defoliate or not to defoliate, that is the question...
I gave all the girls a little pruning today as well to get rid of some larf on the big Jack herer and get rid of all the really close to the soil growth on the Blue Dream
And Critical Kush.IMG_2342.JPG

The plant looks much better since this morning, and the smaller ones are doing great. 14-21 days until flower most likely. The only way I go to 21 is if I decide to prune once more in a week or so. 21 more would be 60 on the small ones and 72 on the Jack Herer. I believe I'll run out of space :DIMG_2336.JPG

So I went ahead and followed through with the nugbuckets guide on mainlining. I know I probably cut my yields by 10-20% by removing a lot of the small branches and growth.

However, by the time I harvest I will be working 6 12 hour days per week, and I will not have the time to be trimming hundreds of tiny branches.

I think this is the most efficient use of my space. This also allows me to drop the plants down and let them continue to grow taller. This closet is 8' tall and the COB can be hung a minimum of about 6" from the ceiling. I have about 5.5' of total plant height to work with.

I plan on flipping when the tallest tops reach about 20". I should be able to really spread these 40-50 main colas out in the space and light should be hitting them from all angles, even after the stretchIMG_2368.JPG

Wow, that sucked. I thought my journal along with RIU were toast! I permanently anchored the 8 main branches on each plant to the perimeter of the pots tonight. Everything is nice and spread out across the entire space. These babies are really just about ready to flower.

Wow, that was a long two weeks without you guys! The Jack Herer developed some problems from being root bound, and then ultimately turned out to be a male after flipping!

The Blue Dream and Critical Kush are healthy as ever and enjoying the new space.

Also, I set up a 14"x30" Veg space to get the next round started. I went with only 2 this time. I like the looks of two better than three, and they have about 50-60 days before they can go into the flower room.

Alright guys,

It's been about 3 weeks and things are still looking good. I had a hard time dialing my nutes in, but definitely learned a lot to implement in my next grow. The fan leaves don't look all that great, the Critical Kush is in flush and he Blue Dream is a week or two away from starting hers.

Hey. Amazing grow.
It seems plants tripled in size when you flipped, insane.
How far from the cobs are the tops? Any light bleeching issues? Have you been running the cobs at 300W from the beggining or you dimmed the lights at some point?
Very impressive for a first grow, you will probably reach 1gr/W, and probably more if the Jack Herer was a girl. Couldn't you spot any pre-flowers before flowering?
I'm currently vegging some unsexed plants, they have shown female pre-flowers but I'm affraid of some bad surprise. I guess it isn't 100% guaranteed they will turn girls...

Thank you! I wish I could have dialed the nutes in a little more, but at this point the leaves are the least of my worries. I had the COBs about 10-12" from the tops for the duration of the grow. I dimmed a little during Veg, but have run full blast all through flower. Keep in mind, my fixture doesn't use reflectors either.

I will be extremely satisfied if I hit the 1 gr/w benchmark on my very first grow. I have better genetics currently in Veg and plan on using the same fixture in a slightly larger space.had that 3rd plant been a female, it would have been really tough to fit 16 more tops of this size in there without risking mold and mildew issues, but definitely would have increased the yield.

There may be pictures of the preflowers here in the thread around Day 35-45. It was definitely iffy. The balls had a teardrop shape and there were tiny hairs that turned out not to be pistils.

The feminized seeds were much more obvious, so I suspect if it looks like balls, it probably is.

Aside from you doing a stellar job, those leaflets are beautiful on both plants especially the critical kush. But yeah you are killing it, great job
