LED lighting and deficiencies

A light similar to the sun is full spectrum, and that includes UV light. I also believe since LEDs make light differently than HID lights they will never be able to mimic sun light effectively (the sun is a burning ball of gas)
You are confused. In reality the white LED has a much more balanced spectrum than HID. No it doesn't include UV, but that does not seem to matter as evidenced by the hundreds of people here growing dank under white LED.

tha rusty leasf edge photo was on the plant before you upped things..it won't go away

i agree with 300 ppm's of cal nit...even 350..ppm
it worked for me..

disclaimer:

i do not think this photo is awesome butifyou saw what they looked like one week ago you would know why i am happy

and one of the cob string is turned off

ps. gotta take the reflectors off..personal decsion based on..having to raise lignts too high]

I have been using LEDs for years, i get better yields / color from my cmh / hps setup than my leds. They also cover way larger area for less money and are easier for me too cool. Mercury vapor lamps are da shiznit. They have a much better spectrum than ANY led could ever hope to achieve.

Have you tried white gas lantern light? It takes no power at all and has a full spectrum white light. Plus it adds CO2 to the grow room

@DesertHydro i would not overlook the mammoth p as part of the problem.if it does half what they claim it does in theory your plants will need more food and possibly cal or mag.
Dont mind yoda,he's mad his mars led panels don't work and therefore tells everyone led sucks haha.
My pic for pic offer still stands yodaweedz, let the forum be the judge :eyesmoke:
Hahaha I think u nailed it on the head. LED haters that got burned by Mars do seem to be a real problem here sometimes.

Whatever you say man. If HID works better in your setup then all good. Mercury Vapor has a good spectrum but efficiency is terrible. You can hate on LED all you want but you're in the LED section so pretty much everyone knows you're talking out your ass. :spew:

lol here we go again!

so heres what i ended up with following the correct ratios and whatnot with the 321 at a higher strength. add jacks part A til i hit 1.1 ec, then add part B till it hits 1.8 ec, then add epsom salts til i hit 2.1 ec and thats it. we shall see how we do at 1050 ppm KISS

Dude you are trying to state that your experiences are the only ones that any one could have you are also trying to start a discussion in this thread that has nothing to go with what the op asked. How do you think a mh and hps make there light go ahead and tell me how them bulbs work and than smack your self cause they guess what they are burning gas in a vacuum inviroment. And you have no clue how the sun works do ya it puts off what ever it's going to put off for light it's our atmosphere and the angle of the sun to earth is how we get different spectrums at a given point in the year. It's not like the sun can change what it is burning to give off a different spectrum for each season every year.

Photo above is a graph of citizen 1212 gen 6 90cri led cob it has way more useable light for a plant that mh or hps ever thought of having and we can keep up and surpass photon density.

Looks like nute burn left and has worked its way up the margins.

LED caused defs - from what I've seen are funky as hell and can even appear to show multiple defs at once.
