I have done two autos. Listen try not to transplant start in large container or place small container on top so root goes straight down not much lateral roots to start. Give them 24 hrs straight light or 20-4 and 18-6 will work. Remember these plants have a timer that says start budding after 3 or 4 weeks no matter what kind of light. The more sativa an autoflower has the longer it can take not always. Skunk, Haze, durban all the equtorial sativas just take longer. Indica autos go 7 to 10 weeks seed to finish. Several time lapse youtube of the full growth. Dutch Passion has video on several autos start to finish. Keep us updated start a grow journal, I did smoken my Purple Indica kush right now started Nov 16 Jan 31 I get a taste rich, syrupy thick smoke, taste of grape crush or candy got a bite and a cough or hack I love this shit OGJC

Started on 24. Switched to 20/4 then to 6/2 then back to 20/4. I switched my 4 autos to 12/12 around week 4 of flower. I had 3 other plants that had not shown sex at 7 weeks. (Thought they were autos but they were photos.) The biggest auto is 40" tall. I lost the auto with the least amount of bud when I put it in a smaller tent under 18/6 with pH of 5.4 in soil (uncalibrated meter). It yielded 71g at 76 days. Her sisters at 90 days now are still going strong with 50-100% more buds. So in my opinion, 12/12 works fine with autos.

Started with 1000w hid and switched to citizen cobs after 8 weeks.

i grew 6 autos....i dont know if i messed up with the soil ph nutrient feeding and stuff or i messed up with the light cycle being 12-12..
Maybe both affected my plants the bad way...

Guys does anyone know if the tempereture goes under 5 celcius at dark period what happens to the plants??

Well outside it tends to speed the flowering up a bit, ripens them a lttle faster. Indoors though it might cause issues, Your humidity will spike up by at least 10% Maybe more. So possible they slow down a bit, Mold can become problems if RH isn't kept in line with temps.

65-70 at night with 40-50% RH
70-78(80 is OK, but don't go much higher in flower) during the day with 45-55% RH for flower
Some people will say the RH i am stating is too high for flower, But that's what i run and don't have issues.
Dead uncirculated warm air= mold and bugs
Keep the air fresh and moving and you're fine.

Listen for the roots sake they need at least 4 hrs uninterrupted dark 20-4 18-6 6.7 to7.1 ph ok don't transplant the tap root goes straight down not much lateral rooting plants slow metabolism the cooler it gets just like us. Just water no nukes let nature take it's course and learn from each grow like I did. Ask questions critical thinking about what you are processing. OG JC What brand auto ?

Autos don't need darkness at all.. They grow out in siberia with as little as an hour sometimes. And it's not even 'full' light at times. They're 'autoflowers' for a reason.

When planting a seed, plant when the seed has oystered, not when the taproot is showing... that's the ONLY root to keep the plant alive, that dies, your plant dies. Plus, once the root is exposed to air it has been weakened technically. You CAN transplant autos.. I always did them in 2 or 3 gallon pots from start and were fine though. I have topped autos before but you need to time it right.

you want darkness for the roots they need the dark at least 4 hrs because no place on earth has 24/7 unless man made look it up better autos stronger Just my opinion and experience. OG JC

Hmmmmmm

I provide no darkness.
I always transplant.
Of course you need nutes.

Have you ever grown a plant?

If you have sorry. You are passing on crap. You don't NEED darkness. You CAN transplant no problem. And you NEED nutes unless you are working with some sort of supersoil.

I'm not usually a dick but does this shit make sense to you?

LOL. agree. they need nutes, we have ran them 24/0 and 20/4 and 18/6. Not side by side comparisons but haven't found much if any difference in yields. We trans-plant at two weeks from 16oz cups to 5 gallon buckets. We grow big honking autos for sure. Smallest yield in the last four years was 2.8oz. Largest was a little over 5oz. it was rapido tangie from Barney's.

The arctic and antartica are light/dark for 24/7 for up to 6months at a time.!
I think auto's come from arctic circle which is light ALL summer time.. just sayin..
Happy growing

I don't think they could grow that far north anyway rudelaris is from Siberia never heard of herb grown outside around the artic circle. The sun sets just above the horizon I am saying the experts say root growth is enhanced with a dark period anyway they are set by the breeder with the percentage of rudy that makes the plant flower early.

the trick to make it bud is the amount of rudelaris a male or female it took them several years to perfect it. I am making skunk #1deep purple afghani kush NL I use skunk and DP male pollen tried it over the winter took 95 days seed to finish not an auto.
