just received some canna caps, anyone with experience on dosage? I got 25mg, 50mg,100mg, and 150mg caps. For a non user, chemo patient what would be an appropriate dose? As a heavy rec user, would a 150mg cap fuck me up? What's an average dose you people take?

Cheers Itsme.

It'll depend on the person. Several years back I got some from Green Cross (can't remember the dosage) Was told to take two and if nothing happened in 4 hours take 2 more. Well fuck me 5 day later I was over the weed hangover.

The worst experience my old man ever had was with canna caps . We're talking about a man drinks like a fish and still has acid flashbacks. I would maybe contact someone who can see what you have. You live in bc you gotta have access to someone who knows about that shit.

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT...

what one person can ingest, another cannot! That is the issue with the whole deal no one yaps about.

ANYONE, no matter if they are Chronic or if they have never smoked before, should only take 25 mg's to start and see how they feel with that.
It can take up to 2 hours before there is ANY effect at all and the 4 hour mark is the peak.

Ingesting and smoking are not the same deal at all!

any other questions?

i agree...I know heavy smokers who have almost zero tolerance for edibles. i think that's weird but to each their own.
try a low dose and see what happens. remember, you can always add but you can't take away. you can take another cap if needed but you can't "get rid of one" after you have taken it.

its not weird at all. Have you ever eaten "to much"? It's right fucked up!!! lol

The fact that everyone is different should answer the weird part. Some can't even take 25 mgs to start...
but here is the catch...

EVERYONE CAN WORK THEIR WAY UP TO ZERO EFFECT over time taking it regularly and starting small. (:

If I use 14-16% grade flower 1and1\2 oz with 2 and 1\2 cups of coconut oil. Sativa dominant 80/20. will the end result be of good quality?

Quality sure. Quality inputs generally produce quality outputs.

Potency - that's around 12:1 oil:cannabis by weight(see note below). For comparison 5:1 oil:cannabis is the oil I use for edibles. Between .5-1g of the resulting oil is a comfortable dose for my patient.

N.B. I used a conversion for the coconut oil of 1cup = 7.36 ounces by weight. I have no idea is this is accurate - I use weight not volume when I'm working with it.

So 5g to 1cup of oil

So 5grams to 1cup of oil?
No:
5 grams oil to one gram cannabis.
212 grams oil to 42.5 grams cannabis.

Here's my method:

1) Put coconut oil and cannabis Into crockpot

2) Fill the rest of the way with drinking water

3) Process on lowest setting for 5-6 hours (often go 12 hours)
.
4) Run through strainer collecting oil/water solution.

5) Strain oil out of cannabis (a large portion of your oil will stick to the cannabis. You want to squeeze as much out as possible.)

6) Put oil/water solution into the fridge in a flared container (I use a large 4L glass measuring cup)

7) The oil will separate out of the water (its hydrophobic) and will solidify into a puck at the top.

8) Remove this puck, placing it on paper towels - pat dry. The bottom of the puck will have a layer of plant material and "funk". It tastes nasty so I scrape it off and discard it.

If you did a good job in step 5 you should have 90% or more of your initial oil weight.

I no longer process this way as I've switched to drysift/tumbled hash or "bubble hash" as my starting material.
