Two COBS and some legroom.

Hey Rollers. Just want to kick off a new thread by showing off a new light.

I've yet to build a frame for it. It's 200w of Vero29. 18,800lm in a warm 35000k hue. 20170421_153212.jpg

Whatever I grow under these COBs will go in this thread.

I was thinking tent. But, now I'm more thinking about cabinets and fridges again.

I hate my tent, its so awkward looking and the sound bleeds right through. But for 100$ I got a 4×4×8 so my complaints aren't too devastating. Sweet lights mate.

The other thing is. The most of my seed is lucky dip. I've got a few that are supposed to be something like Mullumbimbi or Colombian gold. But, apart from that. I haven't a clue what they are. Or even if what I've got, is what I've been told it is.

I've 9 Mullum, 3 Colombian, 2 mystery *fems* from a mate. And two seeds from some recent seriously heady smoke.

Aaaaaaaand hopefully something from my current plant. Because I'd love to run that again. Not that I even know what it is. Just that it's been in flower for 3 months now. I do know it's close to done though. So there's at least one thing I do know.

I've posted the cobs I'm using. And here's the legroom. Scored this for $35 at St Vinnies. You can see the difference in size between my old cabinet. And this new one. 20170601_215742.jpg 20170601_125440.jpg

Okay. So I've been running my cobs for an hour. And they seem to be stable. They start out at 130v and drop down to about 128.8v after a while.

I've figured out they are running at 182w. Or 91w each. Which is good. Because the Heatsinks are rated at 100w passively.

I need a little advice on spacings and construction of this light.

Width wise- without taking anything out of my cabinet. I've got just shy of two feet. It's 59.5cm wide. Depth wise I've got just over a foot and a half at 49.5cm. Height is sitting pretty at 1.11m. Or- 3.5ft.

In the current position. I've measured my lights and driver to be roughly 35cm wide. With this setup the distance between the center of the cobs is about 22cm. That's with the driver laid flat, branding facing up. And the heatsinks firm against its sides.

Since I've never done anything like this before. Is it okay for the driver to be touching the heatsinks? And is the spacing going to work like it is in this area, or should they be further/closer?

Sorry about all the pictures. I figured they'd help more than my ramblings.
