why do you feel pharma made meds (and not others) kill people in the name of money? money..

really thats why people commit suicide, because of poorly made medicine?
yes i know the statistics youve said that already.. its 4 an hr or roughly 38k a year. nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands saved by phrmaceuticals every year..the number i gave was a couple years back...heres last year
  • There were 43,982 drug overdose deaths in the United States in 2013. Of these, 22,767 (51.8%) were related to prescription drugs.
  • Of the 22,767 deaths relating to prescription drug overdose in 2013, 16,235 (71.3%) involved opioid painkillers, and 6,973 (30.6%) involved benzodiazepines
i didnt feel like arguing into yiur 15 minute deal...drug abuse will always be present

every once in a while.. gb, you almost make sense to me
i cant decide if your a loon conspirator or not

actually thats completely inaccurate. i get tested monthly and only abstain for 2 maybe 3 days for a pass, i could discuss this later if you like and explain. thats years old info spread to scare people. if he smoked a jay 2 weeks ago he wouldve been clean. whem you look at initial half life, bioavailability etc it makes sense as well. staying in system 2months isnt backed up at all...and i didnt say weed was the cause....

ya i have a perfect driving record as well. but i will not advocate smoking then or while driving. as i said in my previous post[/QUOTE

http://www.thenation.com/article/anti-pot-lobbys-big-bankroll/

Super long read but really goes into how disgusting Big Pharma is...and the people and politicians the bend to their money and will.

The article talks about all the good people over at project SAM and the CADCA and how they've made it there life's work to save the world from the evils of cannabis, yet one of their biggest sponsor is Purdue Pharma the maker of Oxy-Contin. It also goes on to say how "in America, with more than 16,000 deaths annually linked to opioid addiction and overdose" but "Prescription-drug manufacturers like Purdue Pharma, which made more than $27 billion in revenues from OxyContin alone since 1996" so it seems like a fair trade off.. All that money for a few dead bodies..

I don't know how these people can sit there with a straight face saying how we need to save the children from pot. Yet totally ignore the epidemic sweeping across the land killing somebody every 19 minutes. And that's just in the US.

how many people have died from pot again ?

I find it unlikely that smoking weed would cause a person to jump lanes and head on a Van.

There is more to this story its probably more along the lines of sleep deprivation or just being in a big rush

if people would treat their medicine like medicine this wouldnt happen.
dont drive if your under the influence of anything.. could be an allergy med like benadryl could be an anxiety pill like xanax. cannabis is no different, it hits the same receptors, this is how it relieves anxiety etc.
I think you are correct to a point. Unfortunately if I applied that standard I would never be able to drive again. I take 4 percocet a day, but not for pain, for relief from chronic fatigue. So if I do not take it I would not even have enough energy to walk the 30ft to my car. I also take 3 baclofen a day for relief from spasticity, which flares up anytime I have to drive for more than 10 minutes. I do not feel impaired in any way from these, unless I take 2 baclofen at the same time, then I will not drive.

When I have break through pain I turn to cannabis for relief. It is instant and if the pain level is really out there I do not even get a tingle of a buzz from the first two joints.

I cannot argue that impairment does not take lives, but we all know well that there is a non-exhaustive list of reasons accidents happen. I would posit shitty drivers and aggressive drivers cause far more accidents and fatalities. What we really need is for drivers to recognize and accept when they are not capable of driving safely and to abstain from driving when that happens. Regrettably common sense is not very common anymore.

I was taking Nabilone (synthetic THC) for awhile as well, one in the morning and one before bed. The one before bed provided a restful sleep without any muscle cramping. The one in the AM revived my appetite, but I felt that even though I was not high, I felt rather out of sorts somehow, unfocused. I only take it at night now, because I have some common sense.

I really find it hard to understand how they can accurately measure impairment, since everyone has a different reaction to different meds.

Exactly. Perfect example being Baclofen. I was taking 8-9 per day, with little effect. Worst part is the Doctor said I was OK to take up to 12 a day on top of my other meds. Hey who needs a liver anyway am I right?
im sure their thoughts are

you came to me asking for help....this is what i have to offer,

the first time that was said to me, it made it all to clear...
if they have been a doctor for more than ten years they know it too.
My own GP said he couldnt help me at first..and at the time my only option was chemo and radiation.
F that action!!

The badly timed sneeze can be deadly.

There outta be a law.
There is. you can be charged with 'undue care and control'. I was in a car in Calgary back in the 80's and the driver had a sneezing fit and tapped the back of a transit bus. I can't remember how it turned out in court.
