Progressive supports making progress, not radical change. Hence "progressive" gradualist is somebody who supports gradual changed, like a progressive. You are a bit shrill about it all happening right away. To the point where you offend people who would accept progress without hitting all the bumpers in your political pinball table. Yet there is no peaceful path to do that.
I'm pushing hard for change. I'm not about to scuttle progress because it isn't enough. THAT'S radicalism.

Should we have accepted a gradual approach to equal civil rights?

Why should we accept a gradual approach to universal healthcare?
Actually, we did accept a gradual approach to civil rights. Do you think it happened all at once? And, yes, the ACA represents a step toward universal healthcare. It's not enough but it's far better than what we had ten years ago for milliions of people. I see the goal as universal healthcare and I don't see radical change happening to put it in place, ever. I do see gradual change in that direction. Look at the outrage Republicans met when they tried to roll back the ACA coverage even a little bit.

I might also add, we can't force much of anything these days. We can only show up Nov. 2018 and try to change it.

Your ideas need a position of power before you can even begin to think about them.

More seats, young man. More seats!

That's an excellent example; we demand radical change- no one can convince me that Martin Luther King Jr was advocating for incrementalism- and we got incremental change.

I'm pushing for radical change but you haven't seen me be the enemy of the good because it isn't perfect. And you won't.

Frankly, I don't think you're a progressive.

OK, then explain why you think I'm not an advocate of progress.

Lol.

I think he's a progressive. I know I'm a progressive. Maybe you're more of a 'radical progressive'.

I'm not being critical of that, but to say lifelong Democrats aren't progressive seems a bit tough.

You guys need to look around at who controls every branch of gov't. and realize this is an uphill battle.

if your challenger wins the primary, i'll donate $100 to a charity of your picking.

if they win the primary and the general, i'll donate another $100.

but if they win the primary and lose the general, you have to donate $300 to my charity for fucking shit up. deal?
I can't pretend to say I know much about this race but I do know that incumbents win their race, regardless of party affiliation, 90% of the time.

Or 85% depending on source.

JUSTICE DEMOCRATS ARE UNSTOPPABLE!
Yeah, so tell us again how well your establishmentarians are doing.
Majority of State legislatures? No
Of governorships? No
US house of Reps? No
US Senate? No
Executive? No

So tell us again how great your team is and why the fuck I should blindly support a failing team that even when they are in the majority can't seem to get things passed?

You're a shit talker with a big mouth, Buck. You're trying to run off everyone who doesn't agree with you, whether they're on the left or the right and that's not going to get you respect, nevermind your chosen candidates in office.

Maybe it's time for a different strategy?
