I did sink three 3 gallon pots in this spot where there was a big old tree stump, so no pines were planted for about 15-20 feet. It has a some huge weeds/bushes growing up just out of frame to the left.

Didn't have any soil with me, and it was almost dark thirty, so I just filled them back up with the dirt from the holes. Will add soil when I have time.

We had a little rain last night and this morning. I had to run by and poke holes in the clear tote. The water was almost an inch deep, which is too much for the little pots. The RSB Squared was so tall it was laying over, so I planted the three of them in the three pots I had sunk the other day {the picture with the circles}. Rotten Stinking Bastard is BST2 {Big & Stinky} X BST2 {FP2}. I made these seeds in my Spring crop.

I got one more pot sunk and filled with soil. There were more tall lanky sprouts that needed planting, but I had lots to do at the house, so I left them to their own devices. I did drop off 30 gallons of soil mix near the PP patches from the Spring crop. I have the 10-11 holes in PP that I used, and about that many in PPN that I didn't. I will redo all of them.

I got four 3 gallon pots sunk and filled with soil this morning. Three of which I put these 6 B&S X CP1's in. The plan is to transplant them into the ground in a month or so. This is a new area to me. Never grown weed here before. I'm going to call it HGw, as in Holding Grounds west. It was corn fields for the early part of my life, but had got planted in pines in the 90's. Trees got clear cut, and land was not replanted. Lots of pines from seeds blowing in from fence row trees. Lots of good spots to choose from. Dirt looks pretty good too.

I'm still repotting too tall seedlings. These are the Powernap X Sinmint Cookies {bil} X Ass Cheese {stl} seeds from my camp rolling tray. There was a tiny sprout beside a bigger one. I only put down three seeds, so I guess it split off the sprout. I separated and put it in a cup. Will see what happens.

Lots to cover, so let me get started. My pictures tell me I mixed soil on Friday. I did go to town last week, but I got cold feet paying 5 bucks for cow manure compost. I did get a 27 pound bag of Holly-Tone 3-4-3 though. And I just plain old forgot the perlite and vermiculite.

{not pictured} mushroom compost and coffee ground compost.

I went to rake up some leaves for the garden, and while I was in the neighborhood, I dropped off 50 gallons of soil mix near the {new} PPN patch. The last 20 from the last mix and 30 from the new one.

And with some protection from the daily rain.

Just before sundown on Friday, we had one hell of a thunderstorm. I went to the Holding Grounds, and retrieved the cups while dodging lightning bolts. The tray I had them in was flooded again. Over an inch of water on 3 inch cups ain't good. So I took all of them to the STL and got them planted. The storm blew on through and the stars came out, but I was so wet by then, it was hard to keep the camera dried off.

This is the hole I had put fish in. {also has a hornet nest near by} The fish had been dug up, so I pulled as much of the dirt back into the hole as I could, then added 2-3 gallons of soil mix. I think this is the CP1 Squared.

I dug the hole where Ass Cheese had been in the Spring crop out bigger, added 7-8 gallons of soil and put in these SV2's. I'm hoping for a few males, or it's going to get crowded in a hurry. It was after midnight by the time I had got the leaves down and all my gear back to the truck.
