Seed germination

Found this product and had great results. Bought more to keep as stock changes with season. It's not marked organic but I doubt the seed knows it. Jiffy has organic starter but has no nutrients as this does. Haven't tried Jiffy yet but will compare.

I just throw a fairly decent amount of seeds .Then hope they grow outside .An wait on the rain or just water it sometimes depends on how I feel if they never come up .I'll wait a while then throw more seeds .I buy from a good seed seller who isn't greedy and gives plenty of seeds. Buying soil isn't even necessary unless you live in a desert or something. I just buy pots to grow and use beds and plant in the ground oh but buying some slow release organic fertilizer is good .If you decide on buying soil its okay won't hurt anything, but use organic liquid or solids fertilizing products. That you dilute in water .An use that only if your seedlings start showing signs of its hungry like yellowing .Once they get around a month start fertilizing regularly once or twice a week.

You dont really want nutrients with seedlings?
The shell and husk contain the elements of life...

Someone correct me if im wrong
I think the fertilizer is for the germinated seedlings, not the u germinated seeds which, obviously need only moisture and warmth.

They only need water and moisture to germinate, but they DO need nutrients for optimal growth as soon as the root starts. Phosphorus is an important one for the initial root formation. Some part of me shits itself every time I see cotton wool on this site.

I never give nutes until the second set of real leaves are developed. And I use like 1/8th to 1/4 strength.

A newborn baby doesn't eat much. That does not mean you can skip feeding it the first week and just make it a big bottle of milk to catch up.
Try and grow a seed in some inert gravel and distilled water, see how far you make it towards the second set of leaves. The trick is to feed it something very dilute.
I often use water from my fish tanks and their filters for new seedlings. It works as well on weed as tomatoes.
