Gorilla Bubble Hits 30%

Don't remember seeing it in the entries. Cup is bogus anyway and has to be bought to win.
Well it is expensive, but fixed? How?

So you have to put up $1500, give them a pound of bud, AND give away up to another pound during the show to generate some buzz. But the judging itself looks relatively blind; unless the judges are familiar enough with a strain to recognize it and give it a bump.

What is your opinion of the Bx2 ? Just the plants and smoke?
I had about 4 females out of a pack, the rest were male and one intersex.
The females were extremely potent, frosty and dank.
They didn't grow big colas, but many smaller buds that were dense and did weigh in well.
I wish that I had grown 2 packs so that I would have had more females to compare.
I didn't take cuts and attempted a regeneration of the best female, but it died. However, I do have another pack to pop, one of these days.

Ok, I popped all of by GBs and I would never recommend this cross. Out of five or six females, everal grew significant male flowers, so they are gone. One grew VERY resinated buds, but the whole plant produced like 1/2 ounce. Great smoke, but not worth keeping around. The last one looked like it was growing actual colas, but ended up very loose and less than 1/2 ounce in all. See ya.

Just so you know, something like Super Lemon Haze, which is not a huge producer for me, usually produces 1-2 ounces, same size plant, same veg time. Critical Kush is always over two ounces for me. All things being equal, no way can I grow GB and get such stupidly low yields.

I'm on to Bodhi, fuck TGTB.

Thanks. I mean I am not someone who drops big bucks on seeds just for the hell of it. I really thought this was potentially a plant that was a game changer. It's not even close, especially if you value your space.

I'm a med grower, so I have a plant count and pay taxes per plant. I'm not a commercial grower looking for huge yields, but if I have to pay for the plant, I at least expect and OZ in my particular setup. As for the vape/smoke quality, the shit is great, don't get me wrong- potent and trichs up the ass. But it's not a structurally good or stable cross by any means.

I will not argue the stability issues that you experienced with the Gorilla Bubble, but I have no complaints with its yield.

I yielded approximately 1 oz per sq. ft. Hand watered every other day in coco under a single ended 1k HPS. Pretty much a normal yielding strain, IMO, in that setup, especially on a seed run.
I'm pretty confident that with my current setup and if I had a room full of cuts, I could easily of hit 1.5 grams per sq. ft.

Well, yea- everyone's setup is different. I am in RDWC with cobs. I stagger my harvests, so I have no idea about gpw or anything. All I know is side by side with about 6 other strains, this plant performed like shit. Maybe it likes coco better, or maybe you just lucked out with finding a good female. It just does not fit my needs at all and is being fazed out, never to return. Too bad, it's potent shit.

If I was you I'd hit Tony Green up at International Cannagraphic and ask him for a couple of packs of replacement beans for your trouble.
He should do this for you if he cares about his customers, like he claims.

I have recently grown his Ruby Red and besides the strange terpene profile, is superior to the Bx2 for me. It's frostier and more stony and less edgy than the Bx2
I only ended up with 4 females of the Bx2 and I grew that in a 6 square foot container with 20 gallons of coco.
I turned them at 1 month from seed.

The Bx2 out yielded the Gorilla Bubble Bx1, Blueberry Bubble, Red Eyed's Locktite, and RD's 501st. Og. under the same light

was the bx2 or ruby red stronger in a sense to you than the 501st ?

But why would someone want another pack of beans that they hate, even if free? As the man said, space is valuable. So is 3 - 4 months.
