Great harvest! Got to love QB!

Chopped my plants yesterday, can't wait to see what mine will weigh!

Final weight is in!
First let me say I think sog is the best and easiest way to grow that I've done so far.
The trimming was a breeze and the only thing that's time consuming is watering each pot with equal amounts of water/nutes which is not mandatory but I'm anal.

Like I've said before I still love cobs but you can't beat the spread and even coverage of the Quantum boards. Best lighting tech on the market right now in my opinion.

The total yield was 301.1 grams of solid nuggets. Double checked. There's not a single piece that I wouldn't be happy buying at my local dispensery.
200w the first 31 days and 240w the next 32 days so 220w collectively over 63 days is 1.36gpw Not ground breaking but pretty damn good in my book for an average yielding phenotype.

On to the next one. Thanks for following along! We're only going up from here!

I love it when you get that look! all the bullshit related to flushing is just that!

I just finished my first grow. Took some to my buddy to try out. He has been smoking for awhile so I wanted to see what he thought. He took a bong rip, smoke was pure white and it hit smooth. He said you must have flushed this really good. I told him I didn't flush at all lol. His mind was blown haha

GPW isn't important to some, unless growing for dispensaries/compassion centers then it comes more into play. But I Grow for myself and a few family members so I do as a hobby and because I like to. Anytime the old lady is nagging to much, I have a place to escape to which is my basement. But to each there own, it's what ever works for you.
Happy Growing

Btw: @NapalmD enjoy that Killer Bud:bigjoint:
Thanx for posting data. Its THE ONLY gm/per watt I've found outside of some limited growmau5 vids.. I want the DATA! I didn't bite on cobs until I had seen many success stories.. I'm VERY concerned at the lack of data on these. Anyone concerned about canopy penetration? I grow scrog and the girls get tight and tall.. Thinking there's no way these guys are gonna show an advantage over cob setup. Am I wrong? Did I miss something?

Penetration is a myth, mate!
Only a few percent of the light hitting a leaf travels thru the leaf and the outcome is a few percent of green light which is used for growth regulation and shade avoiding.

In fact, it is diffuse light what "penetrates" thru the canopy and reaches into the deeper plant zones.

Quantumboards use hundreds of small diodes and the light comes from many multiple angles so we can say, it's a diffuse light source. On the other hand, a COB also use multiple diodes but it acts almost like a point light source because of the small LES(Light emitting surface).
You need many small COB's to get diffuse light similar to a qboard.
The diffuse light is what make qboards and LED-strips so special against single COB's.
I would recommend to read a few threads about Quantumboards, Samsung F- or H-Series or Bridgelux EB-Series strips and then decide again which one would work in the best way above your grow-area.

from experience,
good led panels and cobs perform similar..ps I ditch the cob lenses and reflectors

Do you mean a single 200w COB would perform the same as one of your 200w panels?
With four 50w COB's spreaded over the same area I would say yes, it's the same, but with only a single COB I see benefits for the panels.

your opinion is valued..reflectors burn my tops....lenses tried to ruin my eyes...with n reflector i can go way close to the tops..

and no burn..

i just harvested fat 5ft chemdawgs/bubba's that had decent bud all the way down..

i just cannot get that close with reflectors

and i like the coverage better un reflectored
I have never used reflector with my cobs and don't see a need to.

Yeah I wais just being lazy. I didn't want to have to find my soldering iron :)

I have a question for anyone who knows. On the dimmer do I have to use a resistor with the meanwell hlg-240h-2100b ?
Yes use a resistor because when you turn the pot all the way one way the resistance goes to zero and that’s a short.

I’ve been looking into quantum boards and I must admit they look very good but there’s so many different versions and now there’s V2.
Is there any charts or data that explains what the differences rate in lm301b,lm561c,etc....
Then there’s 288,550,etc...
I have seen some where 660nm leds are added also.
If there’s other colors added in what brand of led chips are used in quantum boards?
