Ready for the Chop ??

Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of advice.

This is my first grow and was wondering if these ladies look just about ready for the chop?

I have a microscope on route but it could take a week to arrive and do not want to leave it too late. TBH I am thinking that I will feed her one more time and then flush for two weeks after that.

200watt CFL
80 Watt LED
Sensi skunk auto
Temp 70
Hum 40%
Germinated 1st May
Ionoic bloom nute
No veg nute

Any advice would be appreciated

Those are not even close to ready. You have weeks to go. Fully white pistils that haven't become to recede, calyx that have yet to swell... If those were mine I'd be planning on 4 to 5 more weeks before I even worried about it.

you got a ways to go, way too many white hairs, doesn't look like you've hit the swell yet. when they're just about ready they'll pack on a load of weight, maybe get half again as big, so patience grasshopper, good things come to those who wait

Thanks everyone,

Good job I came here first before chopping.

So it looks like another 4 - 6 weeks then, I was wondering why they did not really smell yet ???

One more thing gents, I am using Ionic Bloom and would like to know if I should use it once a week or every water which is about every three to four days?

Thanks again.

I think you should follow the directions o your nutrient package and water when container is dry/light, before plant droops.
Do your nutrient directions mention flushing for two weeks?

Once a week it says so will do the obvious;)

Says nothing about a flush but thought this was common practice amongst growers ??

Touchy subject but I would be very worried if my nutrients says that they need to be flushed, never seen that on any label, although using things like miracle grow contains lead and mercury and fuck smoking that, although i would not use MG in a million years.

some other common practices include
water curing
defoliation
root scalding
dirt/mold cure
stalk perforation

dont buy the hype. follow directions on the bottle, start at 50% and adjust as needed by plant.

flushing is a much contested practice. many of us believe its a useless waste of time and effort, that does absolutely nothing. some people swear by it, and claim they can taste the difference. i believe they're self deluded morons who can't see the truth, but hey, if people like being stupid, who am i to tell them they're fucking stupid?

root scalding, and stalk perforation.. haven't heard of those ones, I better try it.. :bigjoint:

(p.s. Ionic bloom was one of the first nutrients I ever used. I can't remember what happened.lol I never used it again. It still sells until this day though. Pure salts, in 'ionic' form. I would definitely cut back using it last few weeks so there is no residual shit in the harvested buds, but 'flushing' is useless. Don't ever overfeed, nothing will be out of balance or in excess and smoke will be clean.)

Thanks all for the guidance.

I will experiment once I have these ladies finished and learn from future grows.

These plants have sent me slightly insane :) I'm like a over protective farther that won't let his daughter out of his sight.

Obsessed is an understatement !
