Well I have a shit ton of seeds from my first two crosses and I would like to pheno hunt my stuff. BUT- I also have a nice seed stash and some stuff gifted to me by other growers which has more sentimental value to me than anything I could buy so.......I also have at least 4 more crosses planned with the male..................and yes son 20 gallon pots that's how I do LOL last time in my 5x9 it killed me to chop early the 7 foot trees just trying\ to get back where I was at before. On a mission man I like growing trees green house style but stuck in tents.....

I appreciate you sharing, you certainly didn't have to. Illnesses are different, more personal and I'll begrudge nobody for not wanting to share that. My injuries could be anybodies and I have seen/heard them all. It's all luck of the draw but still, just not as personal with injuries.

Now that being said, I'm no stranger to illness. My mom and oldest uncle both died of pancreatic cancer, the single worst cancer to be diagnosed with. I saw a Dr present on it and had stats that show cancer treatment and survival rates steadily rising over the last 50 years. Pancreatic is a flatline with a 2 yr death sentence. A good friend is dying of pancreatic now and I had hoped to be producing enough to make him an assload of Rick Simpson's but I'm afraid I'm too little too late. My brother just had a scare with pancreatitis and heart disease got my grandmother, so pancreatic will prolly get me and my brother. I want to make us some RS oil to try and prevent that.

I am here to learn how to maximize with what I have available, takes a lot to make that oil.

Your sips were made of 5 gal buckets? But you're also not using them anymore?

I didn't see where/if you got your 5x9 setup? But you also got a new 4x8?
Can you rerun the tent lineup when you readjust and settle on which lights go where? Pretty please?

I will pm you some info on the oil/vape juice I make and maybe that will work for starters. It's not RSO though but also doesn't require so much hassle to make.

My SIP's here were made from 5 gallon buckets from home depot and some parts from DWC buckets I had on hand already. I stopped using them after chopping down the girls that had the mites, well indoors. I have a ghost pepper exploding outside in one and my other veggies in earth boxes which are commercial SIP's.........

As for the flower setup, it would cost me more to have my Ex ship my 5x9 to me than just order a new tent so going with a 4x8, this one to be exact:

Same brand as my 3x3 and I am very happy with those and I have owned and used a 2x4 made by them also.

Plan at the moment for the 4x8 is to hang (3) 600 watt HID's in there, (2) Hortilux Super HPS in the Raptor hoods on the sides, and I want to see what a Blue MH will do (if anything) added in the middle in one of my Daystar hoods...........

yes sir for starters anyway. I was leading on that sip question. I use 5 gal aerobuckets, similar enough to a sip like yours that I was gonna ask for advice/opinions on plant size in one. I can and have used one bucket with 3 3" net pots for a SOG effect but I think a single plant per bucket vegged out more would be better. I only have one harvest with this setup so far and it was a single that I started from seed and vegged out for quite a while, no notes so I can;t say exactly how long but it was over 12" when I flipped.

in my 5x5 under the 1K I mentioned, how many and at what size would you recommend a starting point for me to flip? I would really like to do more than just 2 at a time if possible but not sure if 4 is too many if I let em get to big before flipping. I don't wanna grow trees but as I said I want to max what I have.

also tbh, RO oil process isn't what bothers me at all, I have all sorts of glass, etc. I have a soxhlet extractor and have thought about doing a 2 liter extraction with benzene or acetone or some hydrocarbo solvent. Hexane maybe, gotta get out my merck and check solubility and polarity. Quantity and quality of oils and extracts would be of great importance, but methods don't scare me.

I have almost every type and size (under 5 liter) of distillation and extraction setup you can buy. I don't have a rotovap and don't want one.

I love organic chemistry.

I would like to provide him with a good vape extract though, if it can do what RO oil claims, he does vape. Or used to.

It depends on how YOU like to grow there is no wrong answer. I have NOT done an SOG grow but this is my take. No matter how small that plant is, it;s still another plant. I like bigger plants but not as many other people do not just different ways about getting to the end point is all.

I would run 4-5 SIPS in that 5x5 with the 1K on full blast vented properly. The plants will go crazy in the SIP with the right conditions and my last couple I even did the organic soil in them and it's some of my best smoke to date.

Lot's of ideas. I want to try a SIP again but need to figure out a bigger reservoir so I do not have to water as often when the plants are more mature and in flowering. I honestly think it's pointless to have a SIP and still be watering everyday but that's just me.

I'd run a plant in the center and one in each corner they should all have the space to spread out this way and you could throw up a trellis for support or DIY some stand alone trellis for each bucket so they move as one unit etc. I did a vert grow once (well I tried LOL) and the pant was in a SIP and the vertical net I built was one with the bucket. This was for the plant I needed to move in the front to access the others. This gave me the though that it would be just as easy to flip the net to a different plane (horizontal) and add support for a plant. Actually have seen this a few times with guys running hydro buckets now that I think about it.

When you DIY your only limitation is yourself.

I had to find a way to make the vape juice for myself too (I vape) the BHO for dabs was killing me because the chemicals and how much I medicate. Another reason why a buddy and I are looking into a Rosin Press. I have a few people who religiously use the juice I make. I give it to them (sick people) I will try and find the recipe and PM it to you I typed this info somewhere around here once and it's a lot so if I do not "need" to retype rather copy and paste so just give me some time to dig it up. One person puts it in her coffee in the morning and vapes it, a younger dude likes the taste and drips it under his tongue, it's very versatile and holds well. And the potency is up to you with the recipe as is how much PPG/VG.

If you have that gear and exp and interest might I recommend you look into making a THC distillate. Once I get this damn expansion done it will be my next avenue of study as far as things MMJ go. I met someone who has provided me with distillate a few times and it's been life changing for me but it's not cheap so I need to learn how toi make it. On my first hit of the distillate ever I got feeling in my hands back after 3 years of numbness. I looked like a crack head walking around my buddies house touching stuff like it was my first time LOL was an interesting evening to say the least..........

That's legit I've received a cut from a grower but that's about it! That's dope as hell. Damn some 7 footers indoors? Lord where was I at when this happened! I would of loved getting a peek of that. HahahahaI like that!" growing trees greenhouse style But stuck in tents haha so growing like a boss.

Nah man I'm still new at this just had a few good people take some time out of their lives to teach me some stuff.

Here's a few pics of the 7 footers LOL they look like shit in these pics because they were land race Sativas and just getting going in flower. Damn I have more of those seeds too LOL .......I was scared I flipped them too soon at 18" LOL 20 gallon Fabric pots and thank god for the 1 foot height extension kit on that tent

(2) 1K HPS, this was the harvest I had to chop early this Jan that just passed after the divorce. Fucken almost cried chopping this early LOL Cola's everywhere and man what an awesome smell.

Shit you see what I mean now I want to pop more of these beans LOL
