I would disagree, neo nazi rallies are nothing short of recruitment tools for violent extremist.
Anyone could argue any group is "nothing short of recruitment tools for violent extremist", just to stifle all political opposition. That's another authoritarian tactic designed to silence dissent. It doesn't foster democracy.

Well, no, this is wrong. Not if it's directed at a single family. That's not protected. It's also not protected if they are advocating violence, regardless of your opinion on the matter.

Also, there's a thing called "fighting words", or statements that are known to incite violence which are not protected.
