Replacing 600w HPS, help me DIY please :)

What was the wattage of your HPS/MH, 600 watts? Thats only 40% of the HPS power. Can anyone seriously say LED is 50-60% more efficient than HPS? Just seems ambitious. 30-40% seems much more realistic.
600 watts. Feel free to check out my grow logs

Nice light build, very clean. Hows the bud density? Ive heard that LEDs can be more airy than HPS....
Nope, very hard buds, no air pockets. The stuff on the bottom can be a bit loose, but that's normal with any light. But the primary buds are very dense.

I like QBs for the low profile just worried that they are newer/less proven. Ive read more COB grows than QB (although i havent gone through the big QB thread here) where did you get your QBs?
The thing I like about COBs over QBs is a COB dies then it's pretty easy to change it out yourself. I'm not sure how easy it would be to replace one of those LEDs on the board if it died.

If you can use a screwdriver you can change a board lol

Grows great there is no change in density, it has a better smell and taste now i think bc of so much less heat. One thing is you want to have a nice even canopy so you can keep them nice and close and have that penetration power.

I have built a few lights now and can say i like the PCB's from https://chilledgrowlights.com/ more than the cxb3590 cobs. On my next build im going to do it all in PCB's. The two images are my last two builds both lights are pretty close to wattage draw but the first one gets better coverage and micromol readings on my Hydrofarm LGBQM Quantum PAR Meter Micromol Sensor. In the second image you can see a bunch of hand soldered star diodes in an attempt to get more spectrum control but was not too happy with it. Then these PCB's came out and i love them.
