Help buying and building my first cob light.

Hey everyone so these are the parts I bought from what cob kits told me. Let me know what you guys think.

2- CXM22 passive light engine 133mm
1- Meanwell HLG-120H-48A
2- 3slot wago 221 series.

Also want to make sure which way I have to do this. Which from what I've seen is parallel.Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ive been going over the driver to see if the lights I bought go with it. Been watching a video to understand the driver.

The video is making me think that what I bought will not go together. I doubt cob kits would have given me wrong Info, but want to know what you guys think. Will this set up work. I out the parts I bought on previous post.

you dont need a fuse
why wouldn't you put a fuse on V+ of the driver? wouldn't it protect the cobs from runaway? or if a wire comes loose from a cob holder and touches the frame? or are the meanwells already internally fused?

NO chance Cobkits gave you misinformation. The videos you are seeing are showing a series wiring example....

You were recommended it by a guy who makes a living telling guys what drivers and cobs they should use. There are literally hundreds of other guys on here with similar cobs, heatsinks and drivers. You can rest easy now knowing you bought 2 of the highest quality cobs on the market for growing plants with. Go get some sleep!

this is from growmau5. Its a great video, watch it a couple of times, its part of a series that will get you on your feet in no time.

based on what cobkits sold you, it looks like he is going to have you wire them in parallel. Also, when your drivers gets in, the power side will be weird, its not in normal american color standards. don't freak out, its covered in the video above.

on the cob side...
just run all the "+" wires into to one wago and all the "-" into the other and your set up. also, you need thermal grease if its not in the kit.

feel free to use this thread for any questions about you build. also, you should snap some pictures and document it. its fun to watch a first build.

Thanks. Sorry for all the newbie questions I'm sure some of you get tired of them. Just want to make sure I make it right.

For a frame go to home depot and get some angle metal.

I like 1/8 inch thick for larger builds, but 1/16 will be fine. I also like to use sheet metal screws to put it together. Drill pilot holes You can use a hack saw to cut it, but if you have a electric miter saw, it will work better. you don't need a special blade for aluminum. It pretty soft, so a wood blade will cut it just fine.

as for mounting the heat sinks, take a single strip of masking tape put it across the bottom of the heatsink. use a sharpie to mark where the holes are, then put the tape on strip of wood it will allow you to drill holes in the frame to mount the heat sinks.

when you decide to go big (and you will at some point) find a local metal supplier, the prices will be much better. and they may even cut the bars for you to your specs.

So over the weekend I watched different amount of his videos. Wow does he know his stuff. I even called it out. I have not got my parts from the first light kit I bought and I already bought a 200w kit for my tent.
