Our 10 year old male boxer had a history of aggressive behavior toward other dogs and people when we adopted him 9 years ago. He was returned to the shelter 3 times before he came into our lives and found his home. Lots of constant training and love has turned him into a wonderful pet that I can't imagine living without. He's generally great, but the vet visits are a total nightmare. We've tried all sorts of sedatives and crap to calm him down before a visit, and even when unable to stand up, he tries to snap at the vet. We believe in consistent professional care for our animals, but its almost impossible without knocking the dog out completely for routine exams and blood work. This seems like a terrible thing to do to the dog, so we decided to try some CBD.
Started at 1 dropper full per day of 750mg CBD oil, not mine but a from local vendor. No amazing results in day to day life, but he's a little happier and maybe a little more sleepy. BUT after about 60 day and on the next vet visit, he was a totally different dog. The vet was able to complete a full exam and give shots without him even blinking or getting upset. When we told the vet, she was not totally surprised and had heard of similar results.
Warning, the dog total has the munchies now, he is starting to get into all kinds of trouble he never did before. Seriously, food off the counter, from our baby son's hand, and begging all the time. Poor guy gained like 4 pounds.....
