Hola, been on hiatus for the summer but the stash is nearly out so I'm back at it. I should have started a few weeks ago but Oregon had a heat wave, go figure. Instead of popping one of my purchased seeds, I went with my old cross of delicious seed's CSS and sin city's buddha's dream (blue dream clone x buddha's sister).

Compared to the last few store bought seeds; hso blue dream and sour blueberry (average at best), goji og bodhi(real nice), 5th element elemental seeds and seedman's blueberry, only the goli is in same class as my cross, as far as yield, effect of the high aka potency and flavor.

So far I've only flowered out four females of my cross. Out of those 4, I had one with a really nice sunny D kind of taste and yielded very well. It wasn't orange flavor, per say, but orange/grape fruit or something like that. One had a very nice blueberry flavor after it sat in the jar for a month but by that point I had already let the clone go because she didn't yield heavy. The third out of the 4 had a another close to flavor, it was close to lime but not quite lime, almost 7up or sprite kind of flavor, but I didn't like the flavor much and she didn't yield as well either.

So hopefully out of these eight seeds I can find 4 or 5 females and see what I get. Not going big on these girls but big enough to get a decent amount of smoke to sit on.

These seeds were made in 2013 so 4 years old. I germinated in a paper towel and after 24 hours or so 2 had visible white taps just starting, 3 were just starting to split and 3 were not cracked yet, then all went into Tupur with PBP grow and a little calmag.

I wasn't sure if the other three beans would pop so I threw them all in the same cup, derp. Of course they were going to pop because my shit, ie knowledge, was handed down from Miyagi. But seriously my beans typically do well, as does anyone who puts effort into their work, a lost American trait.

Ok, so these two goji clones look fucked up because they've been sitting in cups in my bathroom, surviving off a single 13 watt cfl bathroom light, since like May of this year, lol. I transplanted them about a week ago and put them under my small T5. These are from my top resin producing goji from my last grow. I thought this goji also had the best flavor too but after curing, one of the other goji's has a better flavor. Good thing is I harvested them early so the flavor my be better this go round since I'll be able to let them go the full round.

Not much activity I know but I doubt anyone noticed, lol. I didn't post pics of veg because no one cares but out of the 8 seeds I started I ended up with 5 females. The 5 girls have been in flower for roughly 2-3 weeks, maybe since 1st week of Nov. So far the seedlings are out pacing the goji clones but that was expected since the gojis were looking rough throughout their whole life.

The goji still look alright but I can tell the stress of keeping the clones for months in dixie cups has taken its toll.

As the Miyagi aka (critical sensi star x buddha's dream) flowers out I'll get individual pics but for now Daniel sons here's a group pic.

The two in the back are goji og and is not a huge cola producer so there will be a lot of small dense buds but still a couple oz a piece and for what those plants went through that's descent. But now the 5 miyagis will defiantly produce nice large colas with minimal popcorn.

While these 5 won't get as big as the ones in the below journal, they will display similar style product.

Check back in a month.

I popped 5 x Hazeman's grapes 13 yesterday and so far 4/5 have cracked and transplanted. I'm guessing the 5th will crack too which ain't bad considering the seeds were pale gray and probably 3-4 years old. I'm stoked because I haven't tasted some good grape bud in a while so hopefully I find a grape stomper leaning.

Awesome mate, I had a pack of them but gave em to my mate to grow. He's got so many others to choose from though. If yours turn out alright, it might bump them up the queue :-D

The girls are just starting to popcorn so not much to see. They are all producing visible resin so that's good and two of them are putting off hints of fruity smell when I poke at them. Although it is way too early to judge the outcome but the one has a berryish smell and the other at the moment has a bubble gum berryish kind of smell which I'm curious as to how she'll play out. The girls aren't as green as I would like to see but I think it's due to the cold weather during night cycle but we shall see.

The goji is coming along but sadly I think I let her wrong for too long and she never came back. The seed run she was super frost with even large fan leaves having frost but the current run is average at best. Should still be good smoke but I'd rather pop more seed than keep that one around.

The girls are starting to produce smells and so far 2 (E and C) of the 3 larger have the same smell as one of the original buddha's dream beans, which is a hazy/spicy/citrus/anise. I don't like this smell or the flavor it produces but it is one of my friend's favorite, go figure. I doubt I'll keep either of these clones going forward.

The other larger one (D) has a pleasant citrus/fruity smell which I'm hoping turns out tasting similar to the tang flavored one from the first round. I'll be running this cut again most likely.

All 3 of the above phenos will be larger head cola type flowers and bigger yield and so far they are all producing promising resin. Other than the two having the same lime/anise scent the girls are superb. Easy growers, quick cloners and produce very well.

The 2 plants (A and B) that are sharing the same pot are the interesting pair. (B) is the runt but I keep getting a strong orange scent for a split second when I sniff her but then the smell fades so either I'm wishful smelling or she might be a surprise. I had haft a mind just to cut B down when I first noticed that plant A in the same pot was 1st to show it was a female but I hesitated and wouldn't you know the runt ended up being female too. Let's see if it was worth it to let her finish flower. I've had a couple really nice runt jewels in the past so I'll keep a clone of this just in case.

The larger of the 2 shared pot plant (A) is exhibiting traits like one of the critical sensi star mothers that had a berry scent. Both had thinner leaves, clones bust roots quick and plants tend to yellow easy without desirable conditions. I only flowered out the mother CSS twice and both times her super fat head colas ended up getting moldy at around week 7 so I never got to taste the mature flower but the she did have a wonderful fruity pebbles smell.
(A) isn't quite a fruity pebbles smell like momma but rather a smoother fruity gum type smell. I'll be running this clone again, as of now anyway.

I'll click pics when I pull them out of the tent again.

The girls are starting to fill out and are giving off good citrus and fruity smells.
bb.jpg

Unfortunately for me, the 2 weird citrus, basically grapefruit juice smelling, phenos are the most robust and resinous ones out of the bunch. I don't see me keeping either of these 2 unless their smoke is magical, lol. This is one of their buds.
bd.jpg

Here is 1 of the front runners as a keeper. She is straight orange rind/zest and she is going to fill out rather nicely much like the orangy one I had last round.
herm.jpg

The other front runner for a keeper is one of the runts in the two plant pot. It is a berry scent in between cherry and strawberry. Since the 2 runts were so small when I flowered them I doubt I will get much herb off them but it will give me an idea of whats they've got. I'll get pics of the 2 runts so or later, lol.

The two front buds are the runt of the group and she started out with an orangeish smell but now it's kind of lemony so not sure what she'll do
The two buds on the back are the bigger runt and she is a nice cherry berry smelling tart and definitely getting flowered again.
bb.jpg
This is cut D she is starting to chunk up very nicely and she is straight orange peel fire. She has the strongest smell of of any plant in the tent and you don't even have to touch her to smell that orange zest. Literally just look at her and its orange juice in your nose. She'll be flowered again too. Sorry picture sucks but she looks like the two above as far as resin.
bd.jpg
This is either E or C and she is the frostiest and was the fastest growing plant out of the group. At first she had the same grapefruity smell her aunt Buddha's dream had but now I'm getting strong blueberry tones coming through so I'm conflicted. At first I had no desire to flower her clone but given the last round I had a blueberry flavored pheno that did the same thing. It started out with a weird smell and I didn't keep the clone around and it ended up turning out rather good like a fermented blueberry. So here's hoping.
herm.jpg og.jpgThis would be the other either E or C. She is 2nd frostiest and and had the same weird citrus grapefruit smell but now it is shifting to the same smell but spicy now. Not sure if I'll end up keeping her clone around to flower again.pup.jpg

Well I have two leading ladies so far. All of the girls are nice but these two stand out.
Cut E, which started off with a familiar weird citrus smell has morphed into a berry citrus smell, E is the winner in the resin department and she is definitely one of the top producers so far as well. At first I didn't think I'd run her clone but now I'm positive I will, lol.
bb.jpg bd.jpg
My favorite so far though without a doubt is cut D. She is the most pungent orange smelling flower I've ever grown. In the last batch of Miyagi I grew I had an orangey flavor close to the sunny D drink flavor but this one is here is straight orange rind/juice. She completely over powers all the other plants in the tent as far as smell goes.
This pheno unfortunately is no where near as coated as cut E and C but hopefully taste emulates smell.
