WOW, A lot of punks riding around on their high horses. I'm sure she doesn't want/need to hear how she could have got a better deal after already buying a light. I guess if you don't buy an RIU sponsored light, you deserve to be attacked for it. shame!

yeah like buying brand new i7 16gb ddr4, vega gpu ,2tb ssd, and putting ms dos on it..but if its for veg...Hail mary to it!

So I went back and forth in a light decision and finally decided and got it and wow!

Now I only have photos of the light , not it set up yet or anything. Works got me beat lol and I have to finish painting, seeds aren't in yet so really just waiting for the seeds. I have my blueberry clone and amnesia og seedling and then I'm going to pick 3 autos, and 1 more fem. I'm going to keep my light as 18/6 to keep the fems in veg until they are ready to be out in the ground hehe

I ran 2 400 series apollos for a couple years and they do grow dank in both veg and flower. Yeah could have got better MAYBE but that light will crush a 3x3 no problem.
You'll do great and the 5 watt diodes are way better than the 3watts I had. Congrats!!
but still get a dog. They'll break in to get to those girls and they know you grow now.

It has amazing reviews and my bud has this one and led platinum , again decent reviews but seeing it for myself, it's amazing. Puts out 700w ,5 w led chips , bought from a Canadian manufacturer for Apollo with 5 year warranty. So yes they can take it back, but I like the light. :)
If they'll take it back and give you 100% of your cash back, do it.

You really should have asked around on the LED section here. As I understand it, you're in a small bedroom. Just the fact that light has active cooling is a knock against it, considering your situation. more unnecessary noise, and that's without even getting into spectrum, efficiency, etc.

Blurples will veg just fine. I prefer t5's but I was given a stack of vipar spectras and they have come in handy when a bulb goes out. We all have to find our way, and some of us are not handy enough to build our own, and not willing to make a huge investment in getting someone else to do it. When they have plug and play for a more reasonable price, I'm all in.

TastyLED does.

I built a 210W, with about 180 lm/W, fixture from their DIY section though.

With a different driver I could push them to 285W with about 160 lm/W.
