if I can toss out a suggestion regarding canopy filling and large yields (which from my understanding was your original goal?) -On your next run, from veg take the tops as they come above the net and weave it over the bar to the next square and continue to do this like you are weaving a basket, but with multiple tops. Then you will have total control on how full your canopy is before and after the flip to 12/12. If you run out of space before you wanted to, you can always "top" anything more than what you want. Most bang for your buck if your going for big yields. In essence its like having a 8' plant nicely weaved in a 4' sq ft area. If done correctly, twice as much plant will get you twice as much yield under the same light footprint.
Anyways, just a suggestion but you are doing a great job on your plants. They all look healthy and happy.

He's a fella with a youtube channel.


He has a "topping" method that he uses.I tried it on a few different plants and can say it works as he says.

You don't cut off the growing tip itself....instead pluck off the very top leaves.Basically stalling that shoot (instead of loosing it) and it allows lower nodes/branches to catch up to the top allowing a fuller more even canopy.

Only reason for me asking if you knew about him is because i'll be using cobs here eventually and going back to doing flat gardens of course using scrog....it's what i do now but i'm a vert grower.It'll be nice i think to get away from the vert as it's hard on the eyes...kinda over it so to speak.

It seems to be a useful technique and helps aid to filling in the canopy well.

I'm definitely changing to a more user friendly screen this is my first run with this strain & these tents small lights & 3x3 tents what you're suggesting sounds like good advice the wheels are turning for the next grow with this strain ( jack herer x blackberry kush) I've got one last obstacle & that's the quality of the finished product I'm looking for 2 strains to run for awhile & stagger these tents so they hit about 45 days apart

Things are stacking up pretty good & im really hoping the final product is good because I'm liking the way she grows & clones by this weekend I'll have things where I want them it's been 2 weeks tomorrow since I flipped & it looks like sometime in the next week I should see my first bud nubbins I've a feeling this is gonna structure up pretty goodIMG_2951.JPG

she is right on the edge of flowering so I took this last ditch effort to better control this canopy I imagine it will take a couple of days to turn back upwards the screen is just about filled in I'm already making plans for the next grow & a better screen is in the works IMG_2958.JPG

the California light works tent is next for a round of training she was flipped one week after the cob tent I'm growing the same strain in both tents & so far in spite of being the smaller of my lights is making a respectable showing for itself this is a small light in size but large in performance this is a quality light IMG_2961.JPGIMG_2960.JPG
