It' not us who are dumb as fuck. It's YOU!
You clearly wrote your going to "build" your light. You didn't write your buying a pre made board off Alibaba. Before you keep hurling more stupid statements try re reading what you write.
Am i going to build the diodes too with a microscope by hand? No....

It's totally different withe the PCB you are having them make/assemble something kingbright is just selling parts. There is alot more risk in picking random companies to build stuff for you I'm sure hlg wasted money on a few vendors before finding the right one. I'd rather have fast shipping and a quality product.

you missed my point @Cannadab1s. If you are gonna harp on these guys about being middlemen then you should just troll consumerism in general cause ain't no mo fo in this bitch producing all the components in their products.
Funny you say that, i do rip on consumerism in general, but i have special spot in my heart for samsung (the maker of the lm561c diode) they make almost all of their stuff. Even making almost all of apples phone stuff too. Lol. I rip on iphone, does that help?

The boards you see on Alibaba are a copy of OUR design. Furthermore find DIY with lm561c before we released the original QB304...... I'm not looking for any credit here. Just noting that complete copies of our design are that copy cats. Furthermore until we went out on a limb the DIY community was cob oriented and that's a fact. Just go to the start of this thread. We postted sphere results of our lighting. We also dealt with a lot of ridicule as well. Also the tales of fake LEDs on Alibaba are 100% accurate. Cobkits compared our 288 vs a board purchased on Alibaba. Both supposedly lm561C. The results speak for themselves. It's true we don't populate our boards. We do however work closely with Samsung and assure that our customers get what they pay for.

I'm not going to tell you to buy from us. Just telling you our stance. It's easy to copy a board in China after the people that made them popular spent the time and money researching, lab testing, advertising, giving lights away ect.

I think I can speak for our repeat customers when I say that they know we make money at this (why else would we work 12+ hrs a day to get this company off the ground). They also know that at least the money they spend with us will be used twords future innovations. Call it what you will but at the end of the day lm561c s6 wasn't a buzz word before this thread started...... Also the qb288 is made in the USA and other boards are going to follow as well.

To all our loyal customers thank you. Have a happy Turkey day everyone!

Cool. Serious talk, no trolling, are you planning on a q series build in the future?

We are working with about 4 different white LEDs right now for future builds. We are also working with 2 monos as well. We will release them in due time. The first samples of the new elite boards will be in next week. So hopefully first week of DEC we will have some new lab tests to post up. When you say Q series what are you referring to?

If you weren't so busy trolling you would have seen in post #7504 that Robin already mentioned they were working with 301B. That' the diode used in the Q strips your asking about.
