You don't get to decide how much meaning the word has to women who are affected by it. How entitled are you? You're a man. YOu don't get to decide how much your words affect women who've been affected by them.
I'm not. Neither are you. The f word you use to insult gay men has a history that has already been explained to you. You reject it. What you are experiencing is social pressure to correct your behavior. Not just from me. I'm simply being direct. The f word is a hateful one and every time you use in ways that harm others you diminish yourself. Surely you can take stock of your situation and realize you aren't really very well socialized. You are getting good advice from people who are. It's time to realize you are part of a society and if you do, you can start to heal.

You deflected and never answered my question as to whether or not you respect women.

Those pictures and such.

What's your answer?
If I didn't respect women, why would I support women like Nina Turner, or Elizabeth Warren, or Ginsburg?

Of course I respect women

I'm not going to explain the way consent works again for over 30 somethings who should already understand it

reguar porn is degrading enough to women
"To say that porn demeans women is to deny the reality of some women’s passion, lust, and desire. It’s to say that women never enjoy what men enjoy. It’s to say that women don’t enjoy playing games with their sexuality, including power games. It’s to say that women shouldn’t be who they are or enjoy who they are, but that they can only enjoy “authentic” sexuality within limited (and historically stereotypical) bounds.

This is NOT feminism.

Saying that men are exploiting women when men are enjoying female eroticism is what demeans women. It objectifies women and cheapens the erotic world they create. To say that women are being exploited when a male gaze is enjoying their pleasure or enjoying images of female eroticism is to rip the partners’ collaboration out of sex. It actually says that female sexuality is defined by the male gaze, that the male gaze trivializes female eroticism. No, female eroticism has its own authenticity and integrity whether men are observing or not—meaning yes, it has authenticity even when men are observing."

Does Pornography Demean Women?
That's an ANTI-woman view.

Just to be crystal clear, you are saying then that you don't think porn degrades women?

So, if your mom or sister turned up in a photo layout somewhere, you'd be fine with that?

Because I'm thinking you wouldn't like it.

You may like the anonymous duct taped open asshole, but you wouldn't like duct taped open asshole of someone you care about.

Not all porn degrades women (or men). Some porn does, sure, but I of course condemn exploitative porn or porn that's produced without consent of all parties involved. To say that all porn degrades women is absolutely false.

What someone I care about chooses to do in their own personal life that's legal and between consenting adults I couldn't care less about. I don't even think about... Why should I? This is something I have no control over.

Uh huh.

Guess you don't have kids.

Do you even realize how your own attitudes will change with time?

Of course you don't. You'll find out though.

No you didn't. That was babble. You didn't address anything I said.

You assumed I should care for some reason if my mother or sisters choose to engage in porn. Tell me why you think I should care?

Why would you care?
Babble?

You're the king of TL;DR babble.

Tell us more about how porn doesn't degrade women.

Or that how duct taped assholes are not degrading women.

I really don't think you respect women. Supporting a few female candidates doesn't override duct tape pics.

Sorry.

According to your friends, it doesn't matter how you meant it. It matters how someone else takes it. I'm offended you would choose to refer to women as "bitches". So that makes you a sexist.
Since you refer to your own fucking sister as a bitch, I guess that makes you a sexist and a fucking hypocrite.

Padawanbater[S]

Another huge problem I seem to face constantly is that she'll be the devil for weeks on end, I'll revert back to "fuck this bitch" territory, then within a few more weeks of avoiding her (since we live in the same house), she'll apologize and think everything is all better. Meanwhile, I still harbor all the same feelings as before, but must accept her apology to not be an asshole (according to the rest of the family... "she apologized, what's the problem?"...). Except, this shit sticks with me, for MUCH longer than than the rest of my family seems to be able to understand. It's not just a "oh, I'm sorry.. teehee" and that's the end of it, no, this shit has long lasting implications that truly damage me to the core. I think about it at work, at home, when I'm alone, constantly. It's never just "over" when they say it's over..
