I try GREENLEAF nutrients

one thing that i did with my clw was to keep it in veg mode until stretch was over. the extra blues i think helped a bit.
yeah I think the controller would allow you a lot of control over the stretch that I'm not getting now but that being said my first run using it as is I think is gonna show promise I'll know more after I trim in the next couple of days looks like about 1/4 lb. I have visions of using this over a single waterfarm possibly even doing it this grow

I'm still learning how to use this little light as it behaves differently than my cobs I've lowered it to 20" above the plant & if I get no issues I'll try to keep it there + - I've got my temp swings under control & im getting new growth in both tents IMG_3959.JPG IMG_3960.JPG

the plant is starting to wake up & I have a deep green color I'm gonna go another round of 1 gram per gallon but no cal-mag & see how she acts the larger plant is on gh floranova & it definitely needs the cal mag it just worked out that I've enough megacrop to grow this plant & enough floranova to grow the cob tent & I really like the dry nutrients & this is not a side by side experiment just a casual observation as I get my grows up to speed this clone was beat up when I got it but I really wanted this strain & maybe wishful thinking on my part but to my eyes I'm seeing new healthy growth ...just sayin....IMG_3969.JPGIMG_3970.JPG

so far I'm seeing no negative side effects from leaving out the cal-mag this is the slowest most boring stage of the grow it is also the time if I'm gonna screw somthing up this is where it happens the bud this light generates is every bit as good as the bud my cobs generate IMG_3985.JPGIMG_3983.JPG

my other grow has a hiccup as my new growth has gone droopy I'm gonna rinse my medium today & switch this grow to megacrop if she starts improving that's it megacrop is here to stay these pics are of my blackjack & obviously she ain't happy I'm not rocket.science material & im not gonna try to research & fight with gh nutes & additives I'm gonna switch out the nutes & the gh can be used on my tomatoes & peppers this summer megacrop has already straightened out my less than perfect clone in 2 weeks time IMG_3989.JPGIMG_3991.JPG IMG_3994.JPGIMG_3995.JPG

this is the ugly duckling clone that after 2 weeks of megacrop 1 gram to 1gal.@ ppm 443 is showing me some nice looking growth I used cal mag at first but I've started leaving it out now that I've started using megacrop on both grows I doubt I have enough to finish either grow so at some point I'll order more especially if the blackjack improves IMG_3992.JPGIMG_3993.JPG

IMG_4003.JPG IMG_4008.JPG the plant in the Scrog just doesn't show the vigor of the smaller megacrop fed plant so as of today both plants are on megacrop in 7-10 days I should see some improvements in the larger plant putting both plants on megacrop is gonna use up my nutes faster than I anticipated so after the first of the year I'll order more so far it works just as good as the gh but I'm thinking in the long run it might do better if you look at the overall appearance the smaller plant has a more uniform color to it new growth as well as existing growth has good shape as well as color the other plant not so much I'm not expecting the miracle of the 21st. century & my problem might be strain specific but I'm thinking its nutrient related as I've grown this strain the previous round I think my nutrients are reaching the end of their shelf life as liquid nutes can my main reason for a dry nutrient

I've heard candyland is good my lights out temps are 56-60.f & she is showing signs of purple I had a pheno of GDP but this shows more color she doesn't seem to be a real fast grower & im considering setting up my heater to kick on at about 60.f during lights out purple isn't as important as plant vigor to me IMG_4046.JPGIMG_4052.JPG

The cob tent continues to give somewhat less than perfect growth crazy as this may sound I'm gonna up the ppm.from 443 to about 650 the smaller plant will continue nutrients at its current level as well as training the new growth I'm getting it's funny the learning curve don't start until something goes awry I've had some hard knocks this past year I'm gonna put the larger plant back on floranova as it needs to get used up the smaller plant will continue on megacrop IMG_4065.JPG IMG_4064.JPG

still battling the cold at night & this is the time of the year that the low heat output of this little light actually works against me the cob puts out more heat & gives me a higher lights on temps than the little light does I'm just kind of training as I go this strain so far hasn't been much of a stretcher IMG_4067.JPG

I raised the temps in both tents as winter is here & frosted roof is the norm the blackjack is improving & so is the candyland the little light don't generate enough heat to get me up to 70.f so I've got to add some heat during lights on as well as lights outIMG_4083.JPGIMG_4084.JPG IMG_4086.JPG

the weather has cooled down considerably & ive learned this strain does not like anything below 65.f the cobs generate enough heat during lights on to maintain 70.f+ temps so lights out tonight I'm gonna start playing with the thermostat a variable speed exhaust fan would be a big help to control humidity levels which right now is good but is a little high in the blurple tent IMG_4088.JPGIMG_4087.JPG

the candyland/megacrop plant although smaller is showing good vigor & the blackjack is ailing so I swapped them out candyland is now under the cobs & blackjack now resides in the blurple tent IMG_4098.JPGIMG_4099.JPG IMG_4100.JPGIMG_4101.JPG

she has enjoyed her first 24 hours under the cob & she is starting to sprout a lot of new growth I'm pretty stoked about this for sure IMG_4121.JPG
