New style Samsung LM561C Board

One-off buyers seem to not have the protection of an assured, continued relationship with the sellers. If they think you're only going to be buying a few boards, what's to stop them from ripping you off? I imagine they're less quick to play games with a company like HLG, because they know it's in their best interest to keep them happy and keep the money rolling in. I'm sure they also know that a lighting company is better equipped to spot a fake than your average consumer. Hopefully threads like this will make some kind of difference.

selective scamming seems to work just fine if you deal with them unprotected...

I have seen vendors try to justify the parts they use by showing you that they actually have a bag of the parts on site. No guarantee that's what's going into your parts ="see4, post: 13959965, member: 320134"]Interestingly, I've been speaking with them for the past few days. They have shown me they do have and do use LM561C. I have not asked for quality control paper, but did get a bunch of pics. What is a quality control paper?[/QUOTE]

I asked them for some kind of paper or tests from Samsung, so that they can prove they are selling legit units. I told them my company wants to buy 1000 pcs but first i need 4 samples. only Meijiu send me smth like this. It does look alien to me, but, along with the diodes pics, they sent me this :
Yep, I got the same thing. But like CobKits and other have stated, still no guarantee.

Yea, I noticed that. Only way to know for sure is to have them tested once I receive them. If they fail the test, back they go! -- As far as testing goes, I plan on visual inspection, followed by caliper measurement, then PAR test, then lumen test, then if I can have my Intel buddies get a hold of the CRI TCLI meter, I will use that. -- How do you test for authenticity?

I emailed Meijiu asking if the boards I ordered were genuine LM561C S6 diodes because there was some skepticism among us and this is the response I was given...

please don't worry,i can promise our pcb board is certainly real samsung lm561c s6 diodes,

please kindly check attached led diodes test report,

we sold it in such a lower price just because it's on promotional lately,

and we want to build a friendly relationship with our customers in first cooperation, nearly no profits,

please kindly understand, and our price will adjust in next days, but won't be so high as US,i'll let you know once it's finished,

so please trust me,we never think it's wise to deceive our customers if we want a long-term developing.
Hope they're not trying to bullshit you. Talk is cheap. Good luck, man.

Same images from the same seller? I would imagine the first time or first couple times someone had asked for pictures they took them and then saved them so that the next time someone asked they wouldn't have to take pictures again and again every time someone asked, that's what I would do anyways. Of course that doesn't mean that it what you are getting...
Yes of course, you are absolutely right, I would do the same for sure. But it is at least a good sign they actually have the leds on hand, or did at some point. Again, won't know for sure until I have them in my hand and tested.

i decided to buy from Meijiu. I will just give it a try and see what happens. And also buy the qb from HLG and compare the fixtures within 2 growths, same pheno...seems like the best idea for me, as i dont have the tools to measure all those specs...
